Atr's

Does anyone know if the ATR's were made any smaller than they are now? I love this knife but it is so big and would love to have a smaller version. If Sal could make one I think they might be a good seller. I am going to get one because I absolutly love the knife but would like a smaller one.

Hi, the ATR has not been made smaller. The Jester is similair in profile, but a LOT smaller. A 2.5-3" ATR would be cool however!

I think a smaller ATR would be one of the best decisions ever by Spyderco. I love the knife but just can't bring myself to spend that much on something that's too big for me to carry.

That's what I've been saying for almost 2 years now! Thanks for the support Ted.

A ti ATR is a 'maybe' for me, but a mini-ATR with a 3 inch blade is a 'definitely' for me. I'd get two for sure. like others said, it's too expensive for me while not being able to carry it as much as I'd like.

Williams,
I'm sure Sal will see the request for a smaller ATR, but if it helps, The SS ATR is my EDC and I love it. I also have a Jester on my keyring.

Good luck, I don't think you'll be disappointed!

Did you just use the phrase "Absolutely the Bomb." You just don't hear that much on the forum. You rock.

Oh yeah, buddy. If I had a mini ATR and mini Manix I think that my life would be complete. But I want the mini ATR more. I have a preference for the compression lock recently.

I'm in agreement w/ all of you
If the ATR was 3', there would be a pe in my LH pocket & a se in my RH pocket right now !!!
I have 36 spydies right now, none are over 3", ok the native is 130 thou over, but thats where I draw the line !
Stuck w/ a 3" limit here, so if I can't carry it, I won't buy it
and I'd really like to have a ATR, military, manix, chinook, civilian etc

I must agree with the notion of a smaller ATR. The mini-ATR I believe we could call the ss Jester(which I wear on a chain around my neck).
Also, I recently read a thread in which Sal mentioned he also like to carry the ATR when he can. He also stated that he almost always has the Jester with him. So if we use highly suggestive mental forces, he might realize on his own how great one could be. Also remember there will be a black ATR coming out in the ear future.
The ATR is my EDC and I really don't care what people think about its size.
Special thanks to Bill W. for all of his inspiration and guidance.

Do you know Bill ?

WOW!! The responce to a small ATR is awesome!! I would want one but only if it was exactly the same...I love the way the ATR opens...it is so smooth and easy to open (and silent) I love that so it would need to be the exact replica only small size..about small salt size or so....ok sal if we ask enough do you think mabey you could think about it.... :) :)

:spyder: Not I, I'd rather make it even biggerrrr. :spyder:
I'd rather be tried by 12, than carried by 6.
