Spydie Sighting - OLN's "E-Force"

#21

Post by sotyakr »

A few weeks ago on Outdoor Life Network's new show "E-Force", which follows officers of Florida's Fish & Wildlife Conservation Commission as they patrol the Keys, I caught a glimpse of a Spydie "in action", well sort of. An officer was dispatched to investigate a suspicious package, possibly containing drugs that had washed up on the beach of a small island. Once the package was located, the officer became concerned that the bag might contain the body of a small child. He pulled out, what looked to me like a D'Allara, and carefully sliced the bag open which also had a diver's weight belt wrapped around it. The bag did contain a fetid, maggot infested body, but not human. Turns out, it was a dog, probably dumped in the water for a burial at sea. It was left to further decompose, to be cleaned up later. Yuk.

Thanks for the kind words guys :)

gives me motivation to keep on searching through the following dvds I own and which are supposed to feature spydies:

Heat, Seven, Starship Troopers  , Natural Born Killers, Point Break, Mission Impossible II

I even recall seeing a Spyderench in a french movie called "Les convoyeurs", I'll try to rent the dvd.

As Dialex has told many times, there is also one in Screamers. Though a much more impressive role is beiing played by a Buckmaster.

Here's Alton Brown using a SS Delica to cut a head of lettuce in a field on episode of Good Eats (season 1, episode 4, "Salad Daze")...

Awesome project Senate! I have an episode of CSI Las Vegas where an Endura is pictured. Even though it failed earlier, I'm going to keep trying to lift a screen cap of that scene. If I succeed, I''l send it to you!

with bruce willis has a worker in it. It is in the scene where he boards the riverboat, and has the 'pirates' at gunpoint. It is on a table, with cocaine piles and some money.

I should have mentionned that it was a different scene and different knife :)
first a mariner then later a fight with an endura.

You can tell from the pics if you're paying attention. That's not a Mariner/Rescue handle sticking out of the guy's back. Although it really helps that I've seen "Strange Days" and knew that they were different scenes.

surprised you didn't grab the earlier Fight Club clip with the police... Project Mayhem, opening the box of airline papers... all of about a second long.

Yes, I've watched the movie over and over and over....

Yes, I've watched the movie over and over and over....
are we talking of the same scene? during project mayhem, they replace the emergency instruction flyers in the planes by some more real ones with people panicking etc...
I watched the scene in slow motion again just to make sure and didn't see a hole in the blade, I don't think it's a spyderco.
but thanks anyway I could have missed it.

merci pour le screenshot Ben! :)

Just saw another one Senate.

"Cube 3: Cube Zero " has a Harpy.
First they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not stand up, because I was not a Trade Unionist.
