Of scanners and Sprint Runs

#1

Post by Mr Blonde »

As I bought a new mobile phone (Sony S700i), I was kindly offered a printer. At first I thought it was a cheap no good printer and was beginning to turn it down, untill the salesperson pointed out that it was a scanner/printer/copier all in one. This sparked my interest enough and now I finally took the time to install it.

The scanner works pretty well, judging from the scan of a leaflet that I got at the Amsterdam preview show. I did decrease the size and quality of the image so it could be attached.

Enjoy :D

I didn't like the quality of the image as it turned out on the previous post. go to: http://www.geocities.com/mrblonde50/File0001.jpg to view the full sized original scan. I will make sure to keep it posted there for a few weeks.

Wow, thanks Wouter! There's a place opening up near where I work that will be doing large format digital photography and making large size prints. Starting to wonder how the image on your site would look printed at say 18X24. :D

Hey Wouter,

What are the chances of you posting that pic say at ImageShack.us or emailing it to me?

I tried to check it out and it says "bandwidth exceeded" and I have to try back later.

Peace,

I'm not sure on further distribution, I'll check with Joyce. Perhaps She is willing and able to provide the original PDF for downloading from the site?

They're pretty big files, but I recon that's just how you guys like it. Geocities will give make a hassle about large files, so they may not be as accessible as other pages. I'll try to keep them up for a while.

Enjoy because this is all I have,

Thanks man.

Still can't get to anything because too many people have already. I'll try again tomorrow.

Can't even get to your blog.

Thanks again :)

Know what you mean about those All in One type of printers. Just picked up a HP1600 for around $100 US, very happy with it. I use it to make copies more than I do to print.

Whoooa!? That flyer implies that the ZDP-189 models will have a laminated blade? That would be pretty cool and a first for Spyderco if I am not mistaken?

I had seen the flyer before but was never able to actually read the text. Many thanks, Mr. Blonde!

Wouter, if Geocites keeps hassleing you on this, you might want to try emailing me the pictures. I can store them on my domain (but not display them on my site), and send you the URLS so you can link to them from your site. I think that might solve your problem. Until I got the domain, I was sidestepping both bandwidth and disk space problems with my ISP based webpage by storing most of my pictures at Village Photos and linking to them.

Wouter

Thanks for the hi res scans!

The only trouble is that I have now made more additions to the "Must Have" list :(

I'm gonna have to get me a Calypso Jr and the Almite Walker. I haven't convinced myself to use my micarta Calypso Jr and I would love to get another liner-lock folder.

Thanks for the scans, the quality is very good at full size.

At first, I thought that I would just be getting the Calypso... but they all look so tempting. Especially the CF harpy and the almite walker... not to mention the spyker...

Thanks for the replies guys. I'm happy to see you managed to download the pics.

Ted, I don't mind you not getting around to posting these flyers. Hey, you got to leave something for the little people here! :D
