Calypso Jr in Cranberry FRN?

Hey all,

A while back I heard that they would be doing a sprint run of the Calypso Jr in a Cranberry color. Is this correct? If so, how do you know when they release it? Does anyone have any idea when about this will be happening?

It should be the same as all the other Caly Jr's., except for the ZDP-189 and FRN color.

is it better than VG-10? What is the big deal with ZDP-189?

Its a Japanese Powder Metal and is extremly hard, It is used mostly fopr chef knives running $1000+ each

so it looks like it is good stuff.

ZDP-189 is supposed to be very good. Just my opinion it is the buzz steel right now. Although many swear by it. I think I might have to check it out for myself.

I have a spyderco flyer announcing all the sprint runs for this year. The Claypso will be just like the other FRN calypso's, fully ambi and with the fish scale pattern. THe clip will be grey with a black logo, like in the grey calypso, and the red looks very bright. More cranberry (like the Salsa) than burgundy (like in the Jester and the Centofante forum model).

I sure have my pre-order in!
