The lead singer of my favorite band, Matthew Good, of the Matthew Good Band used to write Manifestos. I enjoyed reading them and thought that Manifest would be a cool user name.

Goldtanker contains ten letters, none of which is repeated, corresponding to 1 through 0, and is the first term we used in my tank company in RVN to transmit grids and other numeric data on the quick without having to use the cumbersome SOI/SSI. Stuck with me to this day.

Mine's pretty boring. Just a short form of my first name which is Robert and the initial of my surname (which is almost unpronounceable in English because it contains a letter that doesn't exist in the English alphabet).

I used to be just "Rob" on this forum but when the conversion to the new forum was made I had problems logging in with my old account so I abandoned "Rob" and made a new one. The funny thing is that the "Rob"-account is still around but now he's a nominal member...

Cheers, Rob

Slvgx - I don't like using vowels? I get asked in all my online gaming and all my online experiences what Slvgx means, but I am waiting for someone to get the reference.

BTW - I have not heard someone mention a Telefrag in such a long time, thanks for the laugh VW!

well, for me, A is the first letter of my first name and my last name is Smith, hence ASmitty. Over on bladeforums.com I go by MaxFisher, he's the main character in one of my all time favorite movies. That movie is Rushmore in case anyone was wondering.

The real Max Fisher passed away a couple weeks ago at the age of 96. He was one of the Detroit area's wealthiest and most generous philanthropists. He was an advisor to many presidents, most significantly Nixon and Ford. I didn't see Rushmore, so I'm not familiar with the character, but you have borrowed the name of a giant among men.

I think herr silverback did a thread on this a while back.

My moniker is from one of the best graphic novels of all time, <a href="http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/de ... en.
Rorschach is a tragic, dark and conflicted character, but he also has a lot of very admirable traits, some taken to extremes.

I'm not a big graphic novel reader or collector, but Watchmen is a great story.

Mine's actually leftovers from HS. Our mascot was the Knight, so I figured S&S was a good way to pay homage to that. :)

I'm familiar with that Max Fisher as well. He's a man I admire greatly. I happen to think that the movie character is somewhat based on the real Max Fisher. And to be 100% honest my screenname is a homage to both (although, sadly, the majority of the people I know don't know who the real Max Fisher is, so I usually only mention the character)

Absolutely! My 2nd Great-Grandfather took the name when he emigrated to Glasgow, Scotland, and rid himself (and his grateful decendants) of his original Russian name.

I'm glad to hear that you knew who Max was. A mensch and a half.

Mine's kinda easy

Fire = Firefighter
Spec = EMT Specialist (In between EMT and paramedic. I can start IV's and Intubate)
35 = My radio number
I also did the dance with AOL when I first signed up in 1997, this stuck. I use it everywhere USN, CPF, Yahoo, etc...

When signing up for some or other service, I tried MIKE. Fat chance! So I tried MIKEW : name and first letter of my surname. Nah! Tried MIKEWW : Nice try, no cigar! So I tried MIKEWWW : Yay ! At last! So I stuck with this one, and I don't have to remember a plethora of names! :) :)

Pretty simple. The first 3 letters of my last name are bud, I'm male, and I was born in 1950.

Well there is a tie-in, as the character Rorschach wears a mask of that has viscous fluid under fabric in a symmetric pattern, and the shapes chanage (ala Rorschach test) which indicate his expressions.
