What's your most used Spyderco?

#1

Post by davec »

Here's mine, a Aus 8 stainless Endura that I've owned for around four years. It's a box opener deluxe and has seen lots of carry duty as well thus it has lots of scratches and assorted beauty marks.
I bought it as a poor man's Police, the heft of the stainless handle really snaps it into the hand. I try to keep my other Spydies scratch free so it's good to have one Spydie that really earns it's keep. :)

Most used would have to be my SS Dragonfly PE. I have abused it for 2 years at work. I'll post a pic later :)

Fully agree Wouter. This one's been knocking around on my computer desk for almost two years now. Opens junk food, junk mail, tapes and DVDs and "light duty" clam packs. Fob does double duty, makes opening easier and helps me find the little guy amid the clutter.

The Stretch is my EDC and "kitchen companion". It was sitting just as you see it when I started reading this thread. I was going to wash it off before taking the picture, then thought, what for, after all, we're talking "most used" :p

Grey Calypso

My most used is my grey Calypso. It's the knife I grab whenever I can't decide which knife to take and, since I'm finding it harder to make decisions as I get older, it ends up being grabbed a lot. :D

As I've said in other posts, it would have to be my Jester  No matter what other knife I have with me, the little jester seems to get all the little jobs use. Which many days, little jobs seem to out number bigger jobs.

I would really be lost without my Jester ;)

pacific salt SE. in my workplace, used for breaking down boxes, cutting plastic tubing, cutting newspapers, cutting through dense frozen foods other knives can't handle, cutting everything and anything that needs cutting. my workplace is fast-paced, and oftentimes, the knife gets wet, and i don't get a chance to clean it properly. that H1 steel doesn't seem to mind one bit!

i probably carry the scorpius most often, though. it's my SD-only knife. at first i didn't care too much for it... but i've REALLY come to love the small, "city-sized" blade on the big handle.

Most used were my 2 co-pilots plain edge and serrated which now have been replaced by the Dragonfly and my ladybug has seen a lot of play till I just replaced it with a Stainess Jester. I"m waiting delivery on a Chinook II ... I have the older model and loved it...but I think the new one will get a lot of use...Doc

Believe it or not, my most used Spyder is my SS Cricket SE!

Although I religiously EDC my Military(or Manix ;) ), the Cricket is constantly on my person, regardless if whether at work or at home. :D
