Any interest in a shirt?
While meeting with Michael Janich, he mentioned the possibility of a Spyderco Martial Blade Craft shirt. Is there any interest in such a shirt? What would it look like?
I personally like the cut and style of Bram's shirt, but I think it should be designed by you.

Sal,
I think a lot of us have wanted a shirt for Spyderco MBC since we started training with the Gunting. Great marketing too.
I personally would like to see a Gunting somewhere on the shirt, but I would also love to have one with a Chinook.
Brams CSSD/SD logo is cool as well as the ol' Spydie logo.
How about a black/white spydie logo divided like a yin/yang symbol, with Brams abiniko double action logo over top and a triangle made of a Gunting, Chinook, Endura surrounding the whole thing? Too much? LOL :>D
How about: The yin/yang spydie logo over the left breast with a gunting across it. On the back a larger knife with something like :"Train hard, win easy". "Spyderco Martial Bladecraft" :>D
As long as the shirt is available in black and/or Navy, I'm going to own several of them. I like Bram's henley's, but like regular t-shirts most of the time.

I would certainly buy a couple if the logo isn´t too big. The logo should be like the spyderco logo in size (short sleeved T-shirt on your accessories page).
Just the letters MBC (in nice fonts) and the cutting pattern that is etched on the gunting. Of course you could put MBC on top of logo and "spyderco" under the logo (making the marketing dept. even happier <img src="wink.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle> ).
It should be something you could wear everyday in many social settings without being provocative. My life is too short for having to explain my view of selfpreservation to everyone.
When a new MBC blade comes along you could change the logo but the MBC part is always there (same fonts). It would be nice to get one T-shirt with your knife (# production run only) a nice promotion item (especially if you sell them at fairs/conventions). Also a nice "freebee" when you are taking a course with a certain blade (thats another reason to have different T-shirts for different blades). After a couple of years when the MBC line has grown you could find a unified symbol and put it together with MBC (still the same nice fonts). This would give you a couple of years to create a very nice logo.
A good quality golf shirt (I think it´s called) would be cool too.
T-shirt color like SKS said: Navy and black.
Print color: maybe yellow, gold?

Count me in for a couple of shirts, especially if they are short/long sleeve t-shirts offered in blue and black. I could then wear it to work and make my co-workers jealous. I like Driscoll's idea of having all the MBC knives on the back of the shirt in a circle. In the circle itself can be Bram's CSSD/SC logo, the one on the gunting. On the front, left chest area, the Spyderco spydie logo with the phrase "MBC" above the logo and "SPYDERCO STYLE" below it. Regardless of the design choosen, it should be kept professional. Thanks Sal for letting us have input in this project.
Hi guys..I'm home for 4 days..
The Gunting MBC shirt has a SPYDERCO spyder in a red blue ying yang..yup the spyder itself is the ying yang..and in opposite postion of blue n red is the ying yang circle with my GOLD Abaniko logo in it..the mouth of the spyder ( which is a perfect traingle)continues its outside sides downward to make a golden triangle behind and below the whole SPYDER..
its very cool...
CSSD/SC, MBC, Filipino and SPYDER stuff all n one clean simple logo..
In Gold below it it reads SPYDERCO-MBC
how neat!!!!

Wonderful idea. Those of us who sell knives really like this kind of thing because it gives us a visual cue to lead in to a discussion of product. It also helps to bolster confidence in the product when the visual cue is well executed. Go for it, I'll get a bunch and wear one everyday!
