Weight loss and fitness.

Post by spyderknut »

At 5' 9" and 195 lbs, I need to lose at least 20 lbs. I also want to increase my aerobic fitness. I will be making a workout schedule for myself this week and will take baseline photos (which I will not post here  ) and measurements and follow my progress at least monthly. I will post my baseline photo on my refridgerator. Motivation. Fortunately, I have a fit and supportive wife. Now if I can only get work demands to cooperate.

I resolve to fix up the homestead more aggressively. A lot of basic work, maybe a walkin closet for my better half.
Happy New year all.

Improvements in all things...

Post by Hannibal Lecter »

I have been thinking about resolutions for better than a week now. I hereby resolve:

To lose sufficient weight to reach my goal of 175 pounds (this will admittedly be tough) and be in overall better health. (No, I won't divulge my current weight :p ).

To begin enjoying the best of all things to their fullest, within reason and budget: wine, pipe tobacco, and food for a start. Less "junk" food, healthier eating and better recipes with better ingredients overall. (Nothing to excess, mind you: that is what got my weight over ideal to start with, though I realize that these first two resolutions may seem mutually exclusive.)

But more than anything else, to be the best husband and father I am capable of becoming. There is nothing more important in my life than my family, and they deserve only the very best I have to offer.

As an afterthought, not to get cut yet again by one of my Spydies.

The best of all things to everyone here for the upcoming new year.

Ta,

H

Thanks for the contest! My resolution: doing the best I can during the clinical internships, with which I'll probably start this year.

Hi Joyce, may you and all the Spydercrew enjoy a New Year filled with good friends, good health and good fortune.

I stopped smoking back in early August and my resolution is resist that temptation for the coming year.

I resolve to try not to flunk as many exams as last year... :o

Oh, and I think I should try not cutting myself when demonstrating a freshly resharpened knife, pain besides, it was pretty embarrassing... although the cut was very clean, both paper and fingertips...
