Gray Calypso Jr. or Centofante III

I'm thinking about a Gray Calypso Jr. or Centofante III as my next purchase. Right now I'm leaning toward the Centofante, but a Gray Calypso Jr. would go with my Gray Goddard nicely.

What would you do?

I can only speak for the Calypso Jr - if you are looking for a slicer go for it.

Calypso Jr. hands down, great midsize knife, it's thin, light, comfortable in the hand, and a superb slicer. Can't honestly think of one good thing to say about the Centofante III other than that the bug in the handle looks neat, shame it's on the wrong side.

Another vote for the Calypso jr. The Centofante isn't bad, either, but not quite my cup of tea.

I'm swimming against the current here. I have both, use both and love both. But, for EVERYDAY (inside, outside, delicate and no-so-delicate) I'd go with the Centofante III. It's my fav blade shape and it's thin. Just dig it is all...

Just received a Centofante III pe. Very classy design. Good sized blade. Looks to me like an excellent, inexpensive EDC gent's knife. I will be ordering a Caly. Jr. soon so head to head comparison will follow. Just buy both too. Can a man (or woman) have too many :spyder: s?

I sold my Centofante III because i didn't liked the blade. It's a very thin blade wich lacks IMHO a little beefieness. It's a great slicer, good lock, but too civilised in my opinion. This is an office knife that goes with your suit to cut your apples during lunch with without everyone running screaming out the door. Because i don't cut fruit with my Spyderco's i like the "civilian" more then the civilised. :D

Centofante III FRN is nice, but I wanted to limit choices...

I ordered the caly.. why? because it's a limited run, and I can always get a native or Cento later since they are mainstays....

This is MUCH MUCH MUCH different than the presidental election. Here we have 2 or 3 wonderful candidates..any choice is a good one! ... but for the leadership of our country, our choices are less than stellar this time around :o

Both are great knives.

But I think every one deserves to have, (or at least should be forced to own :p ) a Calypso Jnr :D
