Today's Loadout - It was a Heavy Day:

Keys with quick detach ASP Defender
SureFire E2D
Omega Seamaster GMT
Treo 600 Smartphone
Koppo stick
Benchmade Baby Blue Mini Grip 556
FrontSite Hideaway
Some of that was in my big laptop bag which also had:
A PowerMac Aluminum G4 & a Dell D600
and
My ever present nearly empty wallet...

Deacon:
Oracle == Ugh.
The keymate is very cool and there is never a reason to be without it since it is so small.
But, if you want even more lumens, there are a lot of options. I have a bunch of Inova, Streamlight, and Surefire lights and I like them all.

Surefire is GREAT, but expensive. I would go for LED over incandescent. Long life LED is tougher than a bulb, Bright, efficient, etc. I'm about to buy a SureFire L2.

I don't mess with maglights anymore since I discovered LED's. I have a princton tec attitude that is light in wt and bright plus the batteries last forever! I also use the little photon microlight. I've had bad luck with some of the brandier headlamps though like the petzel tikka with the defective switch and the princeton tec aurura with the translucent case and flickering low beam. The garrity at walmart is now my small headlamp of choice.

I have my cricket at work, soon to be rotated with a jester and in my pack I have a prybar, cheap swim goggles, and various other items I find useful for non-bugout type emergencies, like tweezers, advil, sak, and the like. I work in a hospital and my main objective is getting out in case of a disaster. The sheep think I'm paranoid but they always come whining to me when they need something.

My EDC is pretty light compared to some of you, but here goes.

Right front pocket:
PE Spydie Military
Fox 40 whistle and White Photon II

Left front pocket:
Chapstick
Lighter

Key Ring:
Leatherman Micra

Belt:
Swisstool RS, in a custom leather sheath

Breast Pocket:
256 MB thumb drive
I actually have all the Spydercos I want. Isn't that wierd? On second though, no I don't...

This week my EDC is the Native II, serrated, CPMS30V, FRN carried in my right front pocket. A Leatherman micro carried in the watch pocket and a Victornox, "Executive" model, SAK in my left front pocket.
EDC knives vary so I get to use many of my favorites, Gray Delicia, Centofante III and Native III.

My everyday gear is a Chinook II and a Sig P225, depending on the situation, sometimes backed up by a full sized Military and an NAA Guardian.

Well it is 4 actually but one is not a :spyder: . I have Earl ( combo edge Renegade). I have Mr. Dodo ( PE blue Dodo), The Immortal "Dyad" and last but not necessarily least the Victorinox "Swiss Tool". I name my knives like pet dogs. My Spydies are that important. JD Spydo " struttin" his stuff :spyder: :spyder: :D

For the past 5 years, up until today, my EDC knife has been a BM705BT or mostly a BM940BT. Today, I started carrying a black blade Delica PE. I'd bought both a PE and SE of the carbon fiber Delica, but I just can't bring myself to carry them.

My backup EDC, for sheeple-rich environments, is a black Jester. These are great little knives that take up no space. As soon as I have a suitable chain, a mini Police will rotate days with the Jester.

In addition, the following are EDC:

Surefire A2 in my pocket
Surefire E2 in my bag (along with a Leatherman Wave and bit adapter)
Bausch & Lomb 10x Hastings Triplet Magnifier in my bag
SwissTech MicroPlus with a Photon Microlight III Covert on a split ring in my pocket (and the Jester on a split ring as well)
Victorinox SwissCard in my money clip
Motorola v60c cell phone
Palm Tungsten T3

I carry a Leatherman Micra on my keychain. My EDC :spyder: is a serrated Tufram Police. Just saw one of these go for about $255 on Ebay -- almost made me wish I'd just left it in the box. :p

Yes Wotanson I give a big "AMEN" to what you just said. It was short, concise and the point was made very emphatically. I had the hardest time breaking down to use my big Dyad. But I really enjoy using quality ( and expensive) well engineered tools. My :spyder: 's are truly like a real friend to me. It is truly a pleasure to stop and smell the roses: Which is translated;
" To down right tarnish the metal no matter how much it costs". Don't get me wrong I love collecting and there are Spydies I will never touch but my Dyad and Renegade are going to die a hard death if I get to use them that much. LONG LIVE THE :spyder: :spyder:  :D

Hmm, left front pocket=Spyderco Delica FRN very old. Right front pocket=Spyderco Cricket FRN very old. But that's just for now. I plan to replace both. Maybe with an Endura FRN and Dragonfly FRN? Or Navigator and Native? Or ??? Just cannot decide right now.
