wire clip
thumb grooves on spine above hole
less then 3" blade

initially not available outside the UK - so, get in touch with someone here from the UK ;)

MSRP is not know as far as I know.

From what I've read on BritishBlades, Spyderco will not push it's margins on this one.
Reading between the lines, I think a well accepted price for the UK will be 60GBP

Sal posted this message on the British Blades site today:

Pilots went well. Some heat treating issues on the back spring had to be worked out. The vanadium carbides in S30V are so abrasive that the tang was wearing the backspring. Traditional backspring material will not work well for this model.

Blades were cut yesterday, The sample was approved. Backsprings are being cut today.

The G-10 handle sample was approved a couple of weeks ago. They should be cut by now.

A dedicated clip holder screw is being made. The regular barrel / pivot screw interfered slightly with the pocket lip because of the "deep pocket" carry clip. Probably not a big deal to some, but I'm sort of an anal retentive, obsessive/compulsive type of person.

We'll make it as "right" as "right can be".

Just prior to engraving, we'll get back to those that ordered. We'll need to verify final names and numbers for engraving.

I've carried the proto quite a bit. I normally don't carry "slip-joints", but this one is quite acceptable for all of my functions.

When it finally does get to the market, we'll see how good you guys are at designing and naming a dedicated Spyderco model for your country.

sal

are these going to be available through regular channels?

Hi Dialex, always a possibility. We thought to see reaction to the pattern as a non-locker.

Hi Aero-student. The first run for sure will be going to the UK. After that, it depends on a number of things.

Nick, is it illegal to own locking knifes in the UK? Just the tought of a knife without a "safety" makes me very nervous.

Well it is like a swissarmy knife. No lock means u just have to use the knife for the right purposes and be aware of the limitations imposed by non -locking blades.

Looks like a good knife. Wouldnt mind getting a small little knife with g10.

Nice website spydie crew. Very easy to navigate.

I'm a member of the collectors club (# 190).
Is the UK PenKnife available to collectors club members ?
