I'm not sure if this will help, but it seemed in the ball park.

This is an assignment from my daughter's high school World History text book,

"Imagine that you and a friend are stranded on a large uninhabited island. You have no tools except a pocket knife. ...You must survive until rescued,..." from World History, The Human Experience. 1997. Page 19. Mounir A. Farah and Andrea Berens Karls. Hi Sal,

Sorry I haven't checked in but......

1.) I have so many knives (mostly Spydies) well you know the range of blade lengths, like approximately from 1-1/2" to maybe 8".

2.) Anything and everything that needs cutting.

3.) I've been carrying knives and guns all my life, say 59 years since I could walk.

Best luck. Keep us posted when you can.

Jaxon

Blade length 3 to 4 inches. Longer for camping.

Money clip; opening boxes, shrinkwrap, and cartons at work; repairs around the house and yard; cutting sandwiches for my young son, making toys for same; cutting leather, cord and string for costume-making; removing wood and metal splinter; I can't think of a limitation, because I always carry a large pocket knife, and use it when it's needed.

12 years old (that's 36 years ago). Everyone in my family (going back generations-on both sides) carried/carries a pocket knife. They were millers, farmers, craftsman. My mother (in her late seventies) still does. None of those people would have ever been without one.

Good luck! Always let us know when/how we can help.
