Hi Sal.

I usually prefer folders in the 3 to 4 inch blade range.
Law enforcement duty work as well as everyday chores around the house/garden.
Been carrying knives since about age 16.

Sal

1. I carry just under 2" and a 4" blade

2. I use my knives for every day cutting and law enforcement duties ie: cutting seat belts, last resort defense. (California police academies require all trainees to carry a knife).

3. I have been carrying a knife since my Grandfather gave me one at age 6

At work I carry a Meerkat, mainly because of the deep carry pocket clip does not read as a knife. Weekends I carry Calypso Jr.

I was about ten years old my father gave me my first knife. I can't remember what it was. I am 58 now.

Hi Sal,

For me it's 2-4 inches on blade size.

I use knives constantly. String, tape, whittling, cleaning game ..., hangnails, whatever..

My parents gave my first boy scout knife to me in 5th grade. Guess that made me 11. I'm 46 these days ...

Hi Sal!
1. around 5-10 cm, depending on my "favourite of
the week"
2. cutting stuff that needs cutting, but a swiss army
knife can, of course, do more if available <img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>
3. around 12 years old I think

Hope this helps!

Aloha Sal!

First of all, my prayers are with regarding this situation you are in.

I carry blade lengths that are usually between Delica and Endura sized. Sometimes the smaller ones, i.e.: D'fly, Meer...etc.

I use my knife for opening mail, cutting the blister packing open on my daughter's toys, around the yard mostly. Occasionally, I use them during shakedowns at my facility.

Hope all goes well Sal. Please, keep us informed, and you KNOW we're ALL praying for you!

I carried a knife since I was in high school...probably around 14 years old.

Hope all goes well down there. Would hate to lose one of the best knife companies out there. Feel free to use my comments in your endevours. I was with Scouts Canada from '89(age 5) to '97(age 13), and with the Air Cadet movement from '96(age 12) to '02(age 18).

1: I carry 2.5-4" every day, my 'bush knife' is a 23" short sword. Lately I've been carrying my twin 3" drop point customs and the centofante III. Multitool and zippo never leave me.

2: Main use for them is a tie between work and home. I cut rope, tarp material, cardboard, fibre tape, my food, tree branches, and packages.

3: I recieved my first knife on my 5th birthday, and have been carrying daily since. I started into decent knives when I was 12, and found spyderco when I was 15. 5yrs since I bought my first spyderco, many have come and gone, but the comraderie found in the knife community is more important than any given material object(and I've been in the knife community for 15yrs so far).

I normally carry a 3" folder - sometimes with a 4" fixed blade.

I use my knife for all cutting jobs - inc. opening parcels, cutting up boxex, cutting leather, cutting string rope, pealing my apple and in the kitchen.

I have carried a knife since I was 9 or 10.

1) 3 5/8 in.

2) Opening boxes, packages, pallets of product in shrink wrap, cutting open shrink tubing, stripping wire, cutting new hoses to length (vacuum & sometimes coolant) or cutting old hoses & belts off, trimming excessive material from fabric or vinyl interior trim coverings, & sometimes even cutting up my lunch!

3) I started carrying an "official boy scout" knife around 12.

Hope this helps...
