We're working on the next update of the Endura and Delica model (new mold).

We have quite a few changes in mind.

What would you like to see?

Since the Delica is one of my favorite knives I have only minor suggestions.

#1 Flat Grind blade
#2 Keep the length under 3" with a sturdier point
#3 The to keep the same thickness on the handle but have a less "sharp" feeling texture, ie. smooth out the "volcano" grip a little. Give us a deeper forward finger grip and smooth out the back end.
#4 Make the hole a little bigger like the Salt and move it forward.
#5 Give us lots of colors including clear.

Here is a pic with my ideas.

Hmmmm.... How does one tinker with extreme success as in the case of the Delica and the Endura?? Well ... How does clips that make them ride a bit lower in your pocket like the Meercat sound .....maybe...., maybe ?? .. grinning ....

Now for my all time favorite Spydie.. the Endura .. No smaller, but make it lighter. I've got lots of your knives Sal, but somehow, the Endura remains my all time favorite. I have yet to carry a metal clip version though (I've got em, but ...). The light FRN version remains my favorite.

Endura~ Don't mess with the Best

But if you must..maybe thumb grooves on top
of the blade up to the hole hump.
Leave the weight alone..really like full
serrations...Dont change it~just refine it more.(smooth out the hole edges.Ti-pocket clip.

If you mess it up or cheapen your materials ,cut cost..I'll EDC a sebbie instead of my Endura...

I'd rather pay more for a Great Product!

Full flat grind on them. Bigger opening holes, if possible 14mm like the millie. Thumb ramp serrations. Better clip attachment. I really do not like the square slot the metal clip rides in. Not sure how, but I am sure I not the first to bring this up. Too mush wobble in the clip. Different colours would be cool but I don't think would be cost effective. Seems all the blues lately have had to have a black too. Personally I like the different colours If you can and it is cost effective go for it. That is about all I can think of. Take Care.

I agree with Stevie Ray and SURLY...the FRN Endura is the closest to EDC perfection of any Spyderco knife. Don't mess with it too much.

Thumb grooves, at least 14mm hole and full flat grind would be nice though.

Ummm... My one of my favourite s! Okay, the volcano grip should be upgraded to a bi-directional textured grip like the D'Allara Rescue. I love the blade design as it is and I guess to keep production cost low so that guys like in the third world could actually afford one, not too many mods! How about a "wire" clip instead of the solid metal clothing clip? Think the Endura deserves an "evolution".. Textured ramps on the handle butt, behind the roundhole like the Native oughta make this knife very versatile in wet weather conditions.. Yeah, its flooding here in my part of the world.. Choice of colour handles - Now, OD Endura with a black blade.. Very suave! CL! Oh well, just a coupla inputs... Thanks for listening Poppa Spyder and the Spydercrew!

On the blades, increase the hole diameter to 14mm, and add grooves to the thumb ramp. Bi-directional texturing on the handles, preferably the Calypso Jr. "fish scale" style, for the FRN versions. "Hollowing out" the inside surfaces of the handles on the all stainless versions to reduce weight, if economically feasible, would be nice.

How about putting the hump at the pivot back on like the pre 98s had.It made the knife feel more solid.Maybe an adjustable pivot.Lugs on the spine like the Military.
Silver Spyder bug inlay would be cool.
If it is possable do a 3 screw clip like is on the Calypso Jr,this would take care of the clip well deforming if the clip is caught on something.

If at all possible, please make the handles G10 instead of FRN.

Full flat grinds, larger hole. That's it.

The Delica and Endura are incredible knives without any changes! I would like to see the Endura with a 4mm flat grind blade instead of 3mm. A larger opening hole for my big paws would be helpful.

A G-10 handle would be great!

But can you improve on perfection?

Aloha Sal!

Ahhhh, my ALL time faves! I'd like to see full flat grind.
texturing behind the hump.
Colors...That Grey you guys are using is HOT!

I agree w/ I think JSmith said it, that extra FRN near the pivot gave it a "fuller" feel...what about moving the logo/name on a FRN half "sphere" like on the Walker Lightweight to the pivot pin? I like that "sphere" as it feels like a, *ahem*, Control knob...

God bless you on this project, I recall Alex asking my views on the "perfect" Delica...but it's hard to perfect the perfect!

How about adding the Cobra Hood feature to both?

Flat grind the blade

I think a sprint run with the compression lock or ball bearing lock would be a neat idea, give us a chance to see how they flow

Thumb ramp grooves like the Pacific...Larger opening hole...But please, whatever ya do, keep the VG10!I guess ya couldn't give us a hint as to the changes ya'll got in mind?

Oh, and please no wire clip...maybe a 3-hole metal reversible like the Calypso,Jr with a little lower ride in the pocket. As far as the grips...don't change...the more aggresive patterns (like my D'Allara) are a little rough on the ol' pockets! And I like the idea of a flatter grind also with a little bit thicker blade and a fattening up of the handles (the current ones just seem a little slim for such a large knife)

The only possible suggestions I could think of would be:

4mm thickness blade,
lusturous black micarta (Perhaps as a sprint run)
Wire clip.

Don't fiddle too much, as you would be messing up what might be the closest thing to perfection.

One more thing I forgot to mention:
An actual choil leading to the blade, kinda like the native, only less pronounced.

For the Endura I would suggest a flat grind for the blade, strengthen the tip, larger hole, maybe a handle kind of like the Native III for something different, or dare I say it, G-10 scales would rule!

Thicker blade would be interesting.
G10 handles would be great, even better with a range of colours.
Larger Spyderhole.
Traction ridges like the paramillie.
No wire clip or cobra hood though.
