O/T Firearms Owners

Postby Pyrochazm » Wed Jul 14, 2004 12:00 am

How many of you out there own/carry a firearm? I'd be willing to bet that it's a pretty high percentage with this group. I was just curious, as I just replaced my walther with a SIG, and I felt a Kindergarten-like urge to do a little show and tell

"My parents dropped acid back in the sevendies in an attempt to "Expand their conciousness" and then turned around and gave me Ritalin in the nineties to supress mine"

I bought my first gun about 32 years ago <img src="wink.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0> I've got about 13 handguns of various types now, but this one's my latest acquisition. HK USP40F.

Do .22's count? We have a Ruger .22lr match pistol my father-in-law completely refitted and retrofitted for shooting in his gun club. Lord forbid someone attack my family. We'll lecture that bad person about every improvement and feature on that match pistol until boredom claims another soul!

Let me just add that the pistol itself isn't boring. Every feature my father-in-law placed on it makes it shoot like a dream and be a pleasure to hold and behold. Just the descriptions I give will be overly detailed.

I've had a Glock 26 for a couple of years. Got it mainly for home invasion protection.

I think you'll find a lot of knife collectors don't like/buy guns.
Here's my little guy. Glock 21C 3 15 round mags and 2 10's. That's 16 round's of 45 caliber 230 Gr Black Talon without reloading. That's so un fair!

As my username suggests.....I own and carry a variety of cz pistols. My newest cz is a 2075 rami in 9mm(GREAT PISTOL BY THE WAY). My favorite is my 97b in .45. I feel the combo of a spydie and a cz can't be beat.

Way too many to list now. But the Sig is a special one, P239 40 S&W. Some day I'll inventory and post a list of all of 'em. A wide rang of calibers/gauges and reloading fixtures for all. I've just got too many toys.

ps: And an understanding (well tolerant anyway) lady.

I carry a Sig P239 9mm. Nothing fancy but I will try to post a pic. I would like to get a P228 instead.

Mark.

Im the sort that if something aint broke why fix it?
Thus the only car I will consider will be from Toyota, knife from Spyderco and Pistol from Glock.
Carry a G21 with 2 mags full of .45 Winchester talons.

Am currently selling her though, would like to get another Glock just something a little more compact than the huge G21.
Its a awsome shooting weapons , hardly any recoil (and this is not a compensated model) it shoots dead straight and you can do double taps eaily, keeping your shots in a tight space.
Glocks are definetly awsome weapons.

Cheers

I like my pair of customized Ruger SP101 snubbie revolvers as compact carry pieces. On the job, I use a one of a pair of Glock 22 pistols in .40 S&W in the duty holster, a Remington 870 shotgun with a Vang-comp barrel, and a Colt AR15A2 Government Carbine. There are other firearms carried less often, including a 10mm G29 "Baby" Glock, which will probably see a lot more carry time after I retire. My sentimental favorites are single action revolvers by Colt and USFA.

Rex, if you like old Colts thought you might like to see a snapshot of my pride and joy - Colt early blackpowder .45 LC SAA, manufactured about 1875 based on Colt's serialization records. No idea if the nickel plate was original - Colt did plate some of them at the factory - but the grips are almost certainly not, although they're real stag. I've yet to have enough "spare" cash to pay Colt's historian to do the research on its pedigree but I really need to do that soon.

Own lots of rifles and pistols; can't list most due to the current laws in this state.
Also can't carry for the same reason.

I will pack a .45 Kimber Ultra Carry II in my car/truck/motorcycle for long travel or vacations.

OK, here goes:
Walther PPK, Mitchell Arms P-08 SS, Colt 1991 (accurized by me), S&W Model 60 SS, Ruger SP101 .22, S@W Model 61 SS, Browning HP Capitan, 2 Browning HP .40's (one accurized and one NIB), Browning HP T Series (1968 with pouch, manual etc. and unfired), FM Argentine Browning HP (accurized by me) and 3 Daisy Model 25 air rifles. One is a Centenial model, one is a Plymouth Michigan model that I have restored and the last is an Arkansas model that has the cheap plastic stock. Long guns are: Ruger #3 45-70 undrilled in the brown box, Winchester Model 70 Lightweight 30-06, Winchester Model 37A Canadian, Winchester old Model 94 (customized by me), Winchester Model 9422, Thompson Renegade .54, and a couple of slingshots. I wish that I had all the really desireable guns that I have sold through the years. Yes, I have a gun safe and yes I have an alarm system.
