...getting engaged to a lovely lady who gives you a Santa Fe Kiwi as an engagement present. Yes, I'm getting "hitched"! She certainly knows what type of 'jewellery' to get me!

Thanks, the date will be 9 September 2005, nothing special about that date for us in particular, except that is a great time of year for a honeymoon. Now, let's see where's my 'guide to Denver and surroundings'? <img src="wink.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>

Super cool, that is one sweet piece, you should never trade it or sell it. Just polish it every day just give it everything it needs. Oh yeah, nice knife too<img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>

May you and your wife have a lifetime of happiness!

Will we be seeing any little Wouters running around and claiming daddy's <img src="spyder.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>'s?

thanks everyone for the nice congratulations!

Joyce: A pilgrimage to Denver was part of the "contract-negotiations", not sure if it will take place during the honeymoon, but I won't be visiting it at any time later than that! <img src="wink.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>

The odd thing is, is that everyone around me keeps asking me if I dropped to one knee during my proposal. Of course! isn't that what you're supposed to do?! Apparently, these days, at least in Holland, most proposals take place over the kitchen table or the phone or something. Come on, I arranged the whole "deal" to take place in Stanley Park, Vancouver (Canada), during our holidays. That's way more fun ...and hard to deny/reject eyh?

Back on topic: I certainly intend to use this knife, but only on special occasions, like formal family celebrations. BTW I believe my girl is scouting for a Katana as my wedding-present (I know we're yuppies!), to cut the cake with. She's a fellow Iaido artist, so she's comfortable around steel! And quite lethal too, so I better stay a good little boy!

Wouter - Van harte gefeliciteerd met je verloving en je voorgenomen huwelijk.
May the sun always shine on you two!
Your latest comments crack me up, Man. Let's hope that Sal and crew are willing to do an other "Amsterdam special" next year. I am most happy to be organizing it again! Would be good to see all of the Dutch forum members gathered again.

Jurphaas, how about organizing a get together whether Sal and crew stop by or not. Sort of a micro knifeshow, with some presentations/information exchanges (e.g. us dreaming up a Spyderco knife design) that sort of thing? You can count on me to be there next year. And if there is a possibility of me helping out with the organization, just drop me a line.

Wouter
