I think its been at least 2 1/2 years.
I can't get a search to come up with my user name.
Just found one from Jan 02 so I think I signed up some time in the summer of 01.
I know it was before 9/11,I remember reading posts about it.

Yeah, spot-on! It was somewhere in Mid-2000! Logged on under my username "samo" and chalked up about 3,002 posts later.. Oh, well, that was a different story.. Fours years and still posting! How would you like that? *heh-heh!* <img src="spyder.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0><img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0><img src="spyder.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>

I think java made his appearance here about July 23, 2001. This was the first forum I ever joined so I was kind of quiet for the first 6 months. I think it was Samo's jungle tales of native Malaysia that got me interested in posting and I started e-mailing him for personal harrassment and enjoyment a little while after that. Really glad to be here with many of you oldtimers, friends, and Spydermen but after looking at my posts I can't imagine why any of ya hang around java - he's not right you know. Even with a few of Sword and Shield's thorazine cocktails java should be considered dangerous and slightly off plumb. Sheesh! You guys will let anyone join! <img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0> Now where's Kahz, KK, Xibalba, Just Me, Spydernoire, AET, and the rest of the old crew????

Hi Clay! Nice to "see" you again. And you are right!!
After doing some research I've also reached to a conclusion that it must have been early fall of 2000 I joined this Forum.
I also remember all those guys. Reading some of the old posts made me kind of sentimental.
Came to think of a tune, goes something like; where have all the good times gone (?). Hm wonder who wrote that one..
Samo, there has not been much fishing lately. We've had terrible wheather 'round here. I'm allright with rain but I hate when the wind is howling. What about you?
Take care guys,
~Paul~

Java ~ How are them Macrobrachium Rosenbergiis? I was pleasantly surprised to hear that they are farmed in Texas! Well, looks like you and a few other forumites from this fellowship are the ones that kept things going.. <img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>
DePaul ~ Been quiet at my end. I'm currently helping a friend to source for Rapala fishing lures. He has about 600++ of them in his collection.. The guy's into collecting vintage Rapala lures.. I find it rather strange for a hobby, but then again, there are stranger folks out there...
