I huge THANK YOU

#1

Post by J Smith »

I just got a SE R in the mail.It was a gift from the forumite Java and I really can't thank him enough.

I had been looking to get one for a long time but it seemed that every time I thought I could something happened.

This is the first one I have seen for real.Much thiner than I thought and the fit and finnish are great.I can't see why they were discontinued.

I would love to see a sprint run of them even if they had a solid blade in the cut out scales.

The clip is nice too,its the only Spydie clip I have seen thats has SPYDERCO on it.I guess thats because its not stamped anywhere else on the knife.

Anyway heres a couple pics and thanks again Java!

SWEEEEEEEEEET!!!!!!!!!!! You are a lucky man, Jeff!

It's a well deserved prize considering all your participation in the forums. I've never seen an R in person yet, but now I have hope that they really do exist! <img src="wink.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>

Thanks for the pics, and enjoy your new toy!

Congratulations, Jeff! Java is a true friend.

Your pix are great, too. This is a knife that deserves to be up on a pedestal. IMHO, it's right up there with the CF Walker and Jigged bone Horn as the finest Spyderco has ever produced.

Hope things are going well for you.

Java will have his day! Unbeknownst to the rest of you, I extracted a fair price and once the Harriman-Alofi Pepsi Pipeline is complete, the rest of the soda craving world will be at my mercy!

Are you pondering what I'm pondering, Pinky????

Thanks for the kind words guys. You're all super and I'm just glad I can share from time to time.

<b>Jeff</b>,
Glad to see the C67 elevated to its rightfull position. That's some beautiful country you've got there. Plenty of room for old "Bones" to run and stretch his blade out. Best to you and yours and have a Happy 4th this weekend! <img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>

Jeff,
Always considered the Q and R to be bare bones knives. Even had a photo composed (mentally) of them and a Delta Z Skeleton. Someday I'll find a cow skull and shoot it..... Trade you weather patterns for a while. At least you have some of those tall bumpy ground thingies for run-off. Is that part of the Blue Ridge Mountains? Must be beautiful in the fall!

Congratulations Jeff and Java. May you always enjoy giving and receiving <img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>
A Pepsi pipeline, now that would be an achievement <img src="wink.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>
