OT: Gas gouging
Paying 95.9 a litre, works out to 2.61183USD per gallon(us) for REGULAR...
How bad is the gouging for you?
I'm just glad I get the gas miliage I do on this car, rather than on my old car. I'd be taking a loan to keep it filled.

I've given up on cars, I use my Mt.Bike and my old Schwinn with a trailer to get around now.My SUV is sitting in the driveway and I'm getting back my girlish figure .I live outside Philadelphia so I can pedal over the Ben Franklin Bridge and its also easier to get around the city by bike(free parking too). Gas aver.210. a gal. I know we still have the lowest price on the planet in the US. And I have 35 MPG on the Honda Accord. 43 on the Harley, and about 60 on the Buell. But the sailboat motor only does about 1/2 gallon/hour at 6 mph powering. Oh well.

So the oil price reflects the costs now? Try living in the UK if you want high prices!

Boycotts or not -- I have a hunch that high gas prices are with us until late fall at least!
If you live in a metro area in Canada or the U.S., try looking up the best local gas prices by going to Gas Buddy Portal. From here you can segue to your nearest metro area and compare prices...

As per most things money can buy, you guys in the US of A have no clue just how lucky you are with the prices you think are "outragous".
In South Africa we are currently paying over 4 rand per litre, soon to be over 5 rand.
Now, it is roughly 6.6 Rand to 1 USD, and 5 Litres if I am correct is 1 Gallon.
so for 1 Gallon we pay roughly 4.5x5/6.6=3.4 USD
And she just keeps climbing.
Remeber another thing, for a Spyderco Civilian 3 years ago I was paying 1500 rand, thats 227 USD, look at what you can get them for from BestKnives.
Cheers

Let's face it - no country in the world uses so much energy per capita as the US. I'm serious about re-thinking about the monstruous "trucks" that many Americans tend to like so much. Worst thing is, it's spreading: Look at the new Lexus SUV, Beemer's X3 and X5, all the bland and shape-less Kia's, Toyota's and you-know-what.
But a Caddy Escalade or a Lincoln Navigator - THOSE you DON't see over here. I'll eat my words when I spot the first one over here.
