hey all, post here and voice your opinion, here's mine, i LOVE tie starmate, and would buy 2 or 3 if spyderco did even a short sprint run, maybe make it bigger.... like 5 inches maybe? perhaps 6? but please, please, please!!! (could i be anymore emphatic? methinks not.) what say you?

I agree on the S30V, although I'm torn on the flat grind as I really do like the lines on the old blade, including the swedge at the top...

VG-10 or S30V with Micarta handles and steel bolsters.

i would personally want to keep the grind it has presently, unsure of name. i think it adds to the charactor of the knife itself, putting a flat grind on it would deter from the classic look, but that is one mans personal opion, i can see why the flat grind would be preferred though. thought i would add my 2 cents.
