Its been a long while since I visited the forum, too long. But after a recent dealing with knifecentre I felt compelled to post, has anyone had any problems with them in the past? I tried ordering a CF delica and a salsa a while ago but they kept insisting that my mums card number was wrong somehow after numerous e-mails resending the card number all appeared to be sorted and the order finally shipped, then I get another e-mail a day or so later identical to the very first saying they have the wrong card number. I don't like to make a habit of sending card details in e-mails so we checked with the card company who insisted the problem was the knifecenter end. I passed this on to them only to be informed that my order has been cancelled. It was as though they were deliberately being awkward and didn't want my money or custom. Also their customer service is abysmal, half the time their messages were a mishmash of poorly cut and pasted statements that were hard to understand and the other half were short typed messages by a mystery figure, who kept referring to me as "patty" for reasons unknown, containing precious little information as to the nature of their cock-up. I deeply regret wasting my time on this frankly useless company, and sincerely hope that no one on this forum makes the same mistake and deals with them. Anyway now that I'm back to square one I need to find a RELIABLE company who will accept money for a CF delica and a salsa (preferably not too much money) and won't charge me the cost of the knives again on postage because I don't happen to live in America. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated...

The salsa was going to be for a friend of mine, his first spydie, a momentus occasion if ever there was one.

On a different note i bought a G10 SE civvie off ebay for a very good price, mere words cannot express how beautiful this knife is

I'm glad to read that because I was seriously concidering ordering a knife or two from them. I guess I will anyway and I'll tell you if I had more luck. It's not easy to find spydercos in Montréal either...even if you could think it would be. I'll email when my order is sent, meanwhile, if anybody else ever had a bad experience I'd be glad to hear. That could save me a headache!

Ruxton,

There's a CF Delica currently on eBay with about 3 hours to go now at about $70 US. I'm sure there are also a number of Salsas our there. Also New Graham is a reasonable source. They don't currently list the CF Delica however.

Good Luck.

ruxton,
John F jensen has PE and SE CF delica's ($84USD) and discontinued salsas. He doesn't ship international, I can help if you want. You can also correspond with John in emails, since timezones may not work well for you. I can ship them in an envelope for $5USD. I've shipped this way for other forumites in Netherlands, UK, Sweden. Let me know if you want to.

I've not ordered from them in a while (about 18 months), but I used to order from them a lot.

They aren't always the cheepest, heck of a range though, but I'd never had a problem with them in the past. I can't comment on their customer service, as I just clicked the button and the items would turn up two weeks later (average for posting to the UK) like clockwork. Never had any other communication with them than that.

Boxer, John f jensen seems to have everything I want and more at very reasonable prices, I'm sure we can sort something out, another friend of mine has been bitten (not literally) by the bug and wants a spyderhawk.

Hi Ruxton.
Glad you like the pics. If you want to see a few more, here's a link :

Images on pages 11, 13 & 14. They are concept designs from when Sal was over at www.britishblades.com talking about different ideas for a UK legal Spyderco.
A great site for UK knife collectors. Pleanty of people who understand the complexities of owning knives in the UK

ruxton -

www.BestKnives.com

Mike @ BestKnives has the CF Delica ($89.95)
and the Salsa for about $50. Check out his site! BTW - he'll ship overseas!

Here's a currency converter to use to put
U.S. Dollars into Euros ( or pound sterling ) -

www.xe.com/ucc

Mike deals with his customers "one-on-one"
so you aren't gonna get someone who'll probably be "out sourced" from their "job".

He lists an "800" number on the site ; If
ya' got problems, give'em a call!

Edit : "800"'s only US & Canada so, next
best thing -
