Is it just my system? Knife Forums just crawls and this has been going on for days. I'm running on a cable modem. What gives?

I'm on a high speed cable connection and it's real slow too. Try different browsers-- Internet Explorer works better for me (I have a Mac).

I can play 3 hands of 4-card Solitaire while I wait for KF to load. Glad it's not just me.

Eventho I'm a moderator over at KnifeForums, I only log on once a day now, as that slowness really sucks.

(Edited 'cause I can't spell worth a ****...).

IMO, the slowness might have alot to do with all of the ads.

Since Knife Forums is a donation only service, their server probably isn't the greatest...

It does seem to have gotten a lot worse recently, though.

I haven't experienced this slow down on a constant basis but it does take a few moments to load pages with pics etc ocassionally.

Looks like KnifeForums has upgraded their server. Woo-Hoo! Seems much faster today. Here's the note they sent me:

--------------------------------
Greetings KF Members!
This is Just a heads up for you.

For the past couple of months we have been making some improvements at
KnifeForums.com, Software and server upgrades to be specific. We are now
operating on 2 servers, One is a Webserver and the other is a Database server.
Yesterday we added more memory to the Database server to really speed things
up...

Dann/glockman*niner,niner* -

Psellnijg? wat dat? NOT TO WORRY, my defender of the faith!

Just my two copper coins here : it seems
whenever something get's "up graded" it
just makes things more complicated than they
already are! Kevin ( spark ) over at 1SKS
agreed as far as that goes - seems these
minions of the B. Gates mob have a little *ting-a-ling* going!

Forget Martha Stewart, Skilling, and the
rest - put Mr. "JP Morgan monopolist" Gates
out to pasture!

BTW - Anybody catch that mug shot of him
on TheSmokingGun.com ? Taken in the 80's
with the charge(s) conveniently removed from his criminal record.

I say "out source" him!
