Civil Air Patrol; 1985.
Well, okay, so it wasn't really "the service", but what the ****, right?

I attempted to enlist in the Army in 1987, but after going through the MEPS physical, they declared that my eyesight was not good enough for me to go into the program I wanted. I was going to enter into the one in which they'd send you directly to Ranger School after Basic and AIT.

If I couldn't have that, I didn't want anything, so I said to **** with it.

After becoming employed by the PA DOC, I received military-type training such as sniper school (courtesy of Gunny Hathcock, rest his soul), riot control, chemical munitions, etc.

1984 ÷ 1986 Romanian Army - artillery then special forces (not much of a special, don't think Seals or Green Berets, merely escort services). Thank God it was during peace time <img src="wink.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>
