OK! Who's got the largest one?

#1

Post by UK KEN »

Hello all

I was wondering if anyone knows who has the largest collection of Spydies other than Sal of course. I'd be interested to hear from Forumites in all countries to get an idea of global interest/distribution.

Is it acknowleged generally that size isn't as important as quality? Sorry!

Ken

Bargin Blades asks-

OK! Who's got the largest one?

Ken what kind of question is this? Now the wife has always said it's not the size it how you use it!

In my case this is good because I only have two spydies. A S/S Endura and a Bill Moran!
And I do you them.

I'm sure I'm in the running. But I'm not going to traumatise myself by taking count and realising just how much money I've wasted.

Here's some pics of part of it:

I do not have a very large collection for sure, but it's growing

Currently I have...

1 C01 SE Worker with Tufram coated Alu handles
1 C03 PE Hunter
1 C04 PE Executive
1 C07 SE Police with Titanium handles
1 C19 Ce Terzuola Jr. with Aluminium handles
1 C28 PE Dragonfly (SS)
2 C52 PE Calypso Jr. (SS and black FRN)
1 C66 PE Centofante III
2 JBK PE Jester (SS and black FRN)

and more to come. As you can see I have more of the older models than the current ones. It's just fun to hunt them down

Hello everyone

Thank you for giving me some ideas of the numbers involved in some of your collections. It goes to confirm that an enthusiast living virtually anywhere in the world can own one or a hundred knives and still appreciate the sheer quality, strength and beauty of them.

I am glad I do not live in the U.S.A. for two reasons. Firstly, my wife would probably miss me a bit! Secondly, I would not have the buying restriction I face here in the UK and even more of my money would be “invested” in Spyderco knives.

Thanks for your input!

Ken

Rycen,

There is no list.. I will go through and see what doesn't appeal or have too many of a certain model. Ex: Blue Spyder Hawk PE ,I have 3 of them. That means 1 or 2 will go.
I may not have time to go through all of them so far I am up to 50 , That means I am missing knives by me or my friend who watches them for me.

S/F,
CEYA!
