Aloha,

Saw this one and I think it's one sweet fixed blade! As a practioner of MBC and kendo, My Samurai blood line is going nuts over this one.

Does anybody own one of these? I don't like their Aus-6, but the handle wrap is beautiful. Heck, I don't like a lot of CRKT's line, but this one is hot.

A folder w/ the wavy line...hmmmm.

What about it's cutting/slashing abilities? I recall a thread in Bladeforums, claiming that they (abilities) are not so good...

Aloha, Daywalker!

I nearly jumped on one of those from www.1SKS.com ; I then decided to hold off
( I can hold onto a CRKT less than I can hold onto a ) Sooner or later I'll get one
meself.

I don't believe everything that's on Bladeforums.com either.

I think(don't quote me) that CRKT was having edge issues. As in they were not sharp from the factory. I have "heard" many people complain about it so I "think" there is some truth to it. Best bet checkit out before you buy one just to be on the safe side. Mind you, you could always just sharpen it once you get it. Take Care and keep us posted!!!

I've held one for a few minutes. It is one solid piece of metal. Almost a 1/4 inch thick. I don't think it will make a very good every day use knife, but I thought about getting one also. I liked the cord wrap, and the challenge of getting it sharp. Being a thick blade, it will be interesting to sharpen.

I have a couple of CRKTs, on fixed blade and one folder. Both are good knives for the money. I had to touch up the edge on a ceramic when I got them, but it only took a couple of swipes and they were razor sharp. They don't hold an edge as well as my spydercos do, but they do OK. I have put them to hard use and they do a good job. If at all possible try to handle one in person before you buy, if you haven't already, then you'll know exactly what you're getting.

Aloha 'mites!

Hey spydieman, what CRKT fixed and folder do you speak of? Gave away my Lightfoot, my Peck, Kiss drop point, and Carson F14. still have my Kasper/crawford folder. I liked their Mirage Wharncliff model but bought spyders instead.

I think it's only a matter of WHEN I get it, sharp or not, my Sharpmaker will take care of that! Also, this is one NOT for EDC use, I just love the handle wrap and the overall knife appearance. I will round out that pommel though, a bit "sharp" for my tastes.

Southsummit.com sells theirs for 44$us. Anyone seen cheaper?

Looks like a neat knife. However, it's the American tanto style (straight blade, not curved), a feature I'm not very fond of...

Aloha Dialex!

Yes, I don't like the American tip configuration either...but the rest of the knife makes up for this flaw.

Too bad Corkum didn't leave it like his custom Shobu line, with the Traditional curved tip like Tanto's really have! Drool...
