Allen, considering that it's a UK site, I think those prices are most likely to be in GBP. From what I've seen, they pay a fairly outrageous duty on US knives, so their prices are going to be relatively high by our standards. Joe, the owner of that outfit, posts frequently on the BritishBlades forum, and seems like a very decent guy, am sure he'd answer an email regarding pricing and shipping to USA, but think you'll find, with the exchange rate being what it is right now, most will wind up costing more than MSRP.

As the pund is about 1.35 EUROS, and the EURO is about 1.3 USD you can easily calculate: multiply theGBP with two and you have the dollar price.

In general US knives are expensive here in europe. e.g. a Spyderco Police costs about 140 EURO, which is nearly USD 200,--

FIY.

.... IMHO ....

Thanks for the tip, Allen. As I've seen (surfing on the net), usually, the prices at the European distributors are the MSRP or slightly lower. <img src="sad.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0> I think it's understandable, considering all the import and shipping taxes.

Dialex, here in italy i'll be luck to find a MSRP price..here are really mad:
delica 125 usd, military 296 usd , native 173 usd, cricketFRN 96 usd ,calypso zytel 125.. and so on..
those prices make me want to start parallel import.
I know the taxes and all, but to me this prices seems TOO BIG. in others fields isnt so.. i.e. clothing or bike parts.

Hi Allen

Joe from ODS is actually a US based American who spends half his time in the UK. He ships in from your side and auctions on ebay.com and ebay.co.uk as well as supplying direct from his own website.

I am sure he will answer any questions on supplying within the US if you email him. He runs a lean operation, very reliable and is VERY cheap for us in the UK!
