LOL, my new load is take hold Sharpmaker and new load for year 2004 is: ! : learn, how sharp knives ..



Not my Spydercos, all are not used, new, its ok ..but my kitchen knives are SO BLUNT,that, when i cut something in the kitchen, i must cut with maximaaaal power and press, i can use these knives from second side, blade, and its the same cutting effect ...lol, yes.<img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>



When im cutting something,i dont know, for example, tomato, first, tomato is mostly deformed under my "supersharp" kitchen blades and after, when is 20 mm thick, its possible cut...so word "cut" isnt right word ....



Strange salads i make now... from deformed vegetables under my blunt blade ...i can send pic, but....rather not...or you will ask, from where salad is, from Mars ?

And i will object of jokes here ...



When i cut hard things, like a carrot, its really dangerous process ...

If you will ask, if i cut yourself - so yes, 2x ...

Uaaa, I learn, that blunt knives are MORE dangerous, than sharp ...



Hm hm, i see Spyderco dealer video, its easy, but ...its video and sharpmaker in Mr.Glesser hands ....but my reality,sharpening, can be ...perhaps ..very different, i think ....



BUT at the end, everyone here and at BF are telling, what their knives are supersharp, so i can tell, i have mostly blunt blades from ALL!!!

Its record also ...okey, from second side, but is <img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>

Match: who have from ALL forum members mostly blunt blades ?



Without doubt! Im winner!



I solve this situation : when is kitchen knife really blunt (and believe, when i tell blunt, its blunt with big "B"..) i buy new one, and its solved ...



But ... situation is following : now i have 31 taiwan kitchen knives, and all are blunt..

This situation must be solved!



Well... if i will try start with sharpening...im going to MORDOR!

The 204 really works. I managed to give a hair popping sharp edge to some cheap kitchen knives. Problem is it doesn't worth, the edge wouldn't stand for half an hour of cutting. So for your Taiwan made kitchen knives I advise you to use only the gray stones. A coarse edge peforms well in the kitchen and lasts longer (considering the knives).

One suggestion.
Get (along with shaprmaker) a simple sharpening stone and learm freehand sharpening. There is nothing esoteric about it, just some knolege of what you are doing and decent practice. And results -- you are independent from any device (what if you land in a remote jungle, with only a a knife <img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>), plus -- pleasant feeling of being involved in aincient and mystic (for bystander) ritual.
