I’m not interested in the knife. However, the color, and other earth tones should be staple colors for all Spydercos.

i am so in for this one. i have wanted to try k390. just one question is k390 just a non stainless m390.
Based on everything I’ve seen online as well as my fairly limited use (I’ve carried the k390 a bit and touched it up but haven’t fully resharpened it), it seems to perform far better.

I'm still itching to try K390, but the PM2 and Para 3 aren't my favorite. I've had many versions of both, but own neither currently. For me to try a new steel like K390, I want it one of the models I prefer carrying. For me to add a PM2 or Para 3 to my permanent stable of knives, it would take something really special in steel like Cruwear (black peel ply G10 with brown PVD blade??) or maybe a Salt version.

Now, if BBS would actually do something other than a PM2 or Para3, I'd be interested in this combo for sure. A Manix LW, Native LW, G10 Native, or G10 Manix i'd be down for. I'd pick one up on eBay for less than BBS though. For those few months where BBS has a knife in stock it is fairly common to see people unload theirs on eBay for less than you would pay at BBS and with free shipping instead of $14.95!

Looks like I'll be waiting for the Denim Micarta K390 Shaman and the K390 Seki sprints (Dragonfly and Delica) to try K390.

Are the seki sprints a sure thing? I love k390 but as a lefty I prefer to get a dragonfly and stretch over a pm2/3 but if they're not a sure thing I may go for one of these.

I got the Para2 in K390 but I am not a Para3 fan so I will pass on this one. I will also eagerly buy a Stretch and Delica in K390 as well. That might even be my first Endela as well if I have the funds.

I'd love to add K390 to my Para 3 steel collection, but their high international shipping costs is just killing the deal for me. It will push the price simply too high for me to 'need it'. I already own 11 Para 3's so i can live without even though K390 is one of my most desired steels atm. But i guess i'll just await the K390 Shaman then.

$68.95 does seem steep for shipping. What are your typical shipping charges from the US?

Actually, while I agree that it IS a lot of money, it sounds about right to me for shipping from California to the Netherlands. Shipping is expensive nowadays, just because some retailers offer free shipping within the US doesn't mean it actually costs nothing.
My collection so far: 52100 Military (2); 52100 PM2 (2); 52100 Para3; Stretch2 V-Toku; KnifeWorks M4 PM2; BentoBox M390 PM2; BentoBox S90V Military; Police4 K390; S110V PM2; SS Delica AUS-6; Wayne Goddard Sprint VG-10
Wish list: Hundred Pacer; Sliverax; Mantra; 52100 PM2 SE; Kapara

Sal said recently on this forum that he plans to do a run of k390 sprints on the delica/endura family models. No date set yet, though, but seems like people here are guessing next year.

Thanks for the info. I hope next year, that would be perfect. I love my Urban in that steel but I definitely miss having a lock.

This one is a pass for me. Got the Para 2 and the DLT M390 Para 3. Being around water so much the M390 just makes more sense. Probably would have passed on the Para 2 as well, but the K390 hooked me. The wallet has really been hit this month. Have a couple others on the way. Didn't get in on the Shaman Cruwear so I found a custom in Cruwear. Will post pics later on the Shaman thread.

+1 that's simply ridiculous. I have sold tons of stuff over ebay to the US as a private seller and insured shipping was never over 40 USD.

I won’t even pretend to know the costs and logistics needed to offer shipping to all of the countries of the world. BBS probably picked the worst case scenario, added the fifteen dollar shipping tax that we all pay, and called it a day. That is what they think their time(handling) plus shipping is worth.

I will buy this knife. I don’t really look at it as $174.95 plus $14.99 shipping. I look at it as paying $190.00, and is this knife worth that. In my opinion, yes. The international buyers will have to decide if this knife is worth $245.00.
