Looks like you found some ice…very cool shot👊
Found the ice but not the fish! :grin-squint

It was still good to get out on the ice this season. Hoping the ice sticks around until the weekend but I’m not holding my breath.

Grabbed the Millie to try something different today. I can’t remember the last time I carried it, but man is the edge due for a touch up.

I wonder if I’d carry it more with a Lynch clip. Hmmm… 🤔
I think I would carry mine more if I changed the clip to tip up. Curious what you think if you just change the clip out. I don't like trying to force my hand pass the jimping.

Soooo good! When one of those comes up in a premium steel like Magnacut or S90v, I'll have to buy one. You've pushed me over on this knife!

Have definitely always loved the look of the Kapara, but I'm in the same camp as others regarding this knife...liner/frame or backlock would have been best.

Have definitely always loved the look of the Kapara, but I'm in the same camp as others regarding this knife...liner/frame or backlock would have been best.
Any particular reasons for that based on the design of the knife and your uses; or just personal preference?

Sorry, I know you are not asking me. I think the CL in combination with smooth contoured CF does not provide adequate real estate to pinch to close the lock. I've dropped mine several times trying to close. Just have to focus more. The Micarta helps. You'll hear people complain about the slipperiness of the scales. I really think this is more of the smooth contoured scales in combination with the CL. You hear similar things about the Shaman. Smooth scales heavily contoured pinch grip to close the CL. I think a liner lock or backlock where you can still fully grasp the knife while closing would have been a better option. To compare, the Caly 3.5 has extremely glass-like texture or lack thereof carbon fiber scales. Being a backlock, I've never had it slip out of my hands while closing.

In use it's not a problem.

Jeff above summed it up perfectly! My thoughts exactly.
