No cookie should be left behind. I am an equal opportunity cookie eater. I practice all elements of cookie DEI: Digest, Eat, & Ingest. While I am very exclusive regarding knives, I will eat anything that even remotely resembles a cookie. Now let's see, this thread was also discussing something far less important than cookies. Right--it was the idea of a larger Mule.

While it's taken me a bit to warm up to the idea, I suppose that the tougher "chopper" style steels would be better tested in a large fixie. You can't exactly wail on a log with the existing mule size. I have difficulty understanding, however, the utility of a large Maximet or 15V blade (but certainly someone will correct me on that). Point being, I think a larger mule might be an appropriate-steel-specific item. I'd also imagine they could be quite expensive, so likely fewer people would test larger iterations.

first of all, you're wrong. they're actually really delicious.
second, i prefer oatmeal raisin, but i'm the only one in my house. i'm just glad to have oatmeal cookies that don't have chocolate. oatmeal chocolate is not a cookie. it's a granola bar at best.
third, we're moving soon, so we're throwing some weird stuff together.
fourth, you should open up that closed mind of yours. you never know what deliciousness you're missing out on. that includes mules with a 6" blade or a 3" wharncliffe. both would be outstanding.

sorry, jovial. i couldn't let that stand.

I'm not going to argue with the Baker, I'll say thank you for the cookie. But if I'm stirring up the batch... Oatmeal raisin.

Mule Team XL, well obviously the Mule Team has evolved to include a regular production Mule in Spy27, so change is possible.

I would like Spyderco to keep the Mule Team focused on pulling new steels down the road and not hooking them up to new/different platforms.

Thanks for the cookies Team.

some chainsaw porting forums

There's a forum for that? I've lived all these years and didn't even know that chainsaw porting was a thing. But it makes sense. We race cars, airplanes, compete to see who can shoot the farthest, build the prettiest knife, play the loudest guitar. Why wouldn't we soup up our chainsaws?

There’s a lot of big egos in the porting world, but a lot of nice folk too. I only do work for arborists and forestry workers. They benefit from being able to make cuts faster and get out from dangerous areas more swiftly. Hanging branches are lethal when you’re making your face and back cuts if they shake loose. I’m not interested in the sausage measuring competition it seems to regularly devolve into on those forums. This forum is a breath of fresh air for civilised conversation and good natured banter.

As a Brit I had no idea there were so many potential permutations of cookie, and they all sound delicious! I would never have thought to soak my raisins in rum or add molasses, but both sound glorious! My personal favourite up until this point has always been milk chocolate and candied orange peel, but I can see I’ve been living under the proverbial rock when it comes to cookies 😂

your 'biscuits' are undoubtedly healthier, but our cookies are loaded with butter, sugar, freedom, and bullets, so they taste way better.

seriously though... cookies are wonderful and should be enjoyed by all. and something about knives.... oh yeah... a large mule would be an even more outstanding camp knife.
