Impeccable color coordinating skills vivi! How is your hardware coating holding up on that sinister looking YoJumbo? Notice mine not so much.

If anyone sees any good deals on super thin, full number dial field watches please let me know. I'm still on the hunt for the perfect watch that doesn't exist.

David,

Got an email on this and wondered if it fits the bill.

Wow yeah that definitely fits the bill. Definitely saving the link. Unfortunately (or fortunately idk) I decided to go back to the GWS G10 Pro Diver, I had one years ago and foolishly got rid of it. It's a bit thicker than I want and has some other things I could change but there's a sentiment link to it and I kinda miss it.

No Sir, it's a OEM wire clip in a black coating that's not very resistent to even normal use. Reason I've been looking for a replacement clip with no coating or finish, just bare or brushed steel. Best one I found so far is from rippsgaragetech but I can't justify a $70 clip + €55 import tax for a €200 Dragonhawk. Need to get some red Loctite first cuz that pivot screw on my specimen tends to get loose over time and a fresh drop of Ballistol didn't help with that. Again shout-out to Cuscadi for his flawless service, fit and finish. His factory Spydie weave is exceptional, which was my only requirement.

Mine has been holding up well.

My clip coatings wear faster than my DLC blades - I don't think they're the same coating.

Definitely understand, it’s a great looking watch!

How thin of a case and quartz or mechanical?
I'm really trying to find 10mm or less, which I can find but then the cost is out of my range. I can live with either movement and would even be ok with hand wind.
Hamilton Khaki seems like it would fit. https://www.jomashop.com/hafiwase.html

Otherwise I had an old CWC G10 that took a beating and kept ticking. I believe they still make them.

I have the Khaki Field Titanium and love it but it needs some work, I wore it pretty much nonstop for about 6 years and the hands are kinda jumpy now, I'm hoping it's nothing major. I'm trying to find someone local I can trust to work on it. Part of my searching for a new watch is just to take some wear off that one. That watch was actually why I got rid of my GWS, and here I am with another one on order so that should say a lot, hindsight and 20/20 and such.

Sometimes hindsight is such a PITA…

I was considering selling my old SKX173, but I figured I needed to be able to state something about its timekeeping in the ad so I wore it for a week. Well what do you know, it kept time pretty much dead on as compared to me Casio solar atomic G-Shock every morning. I’ll be keeping it…

I like the Hamilton field watches and those GWS watches. On the vintage side I’d really like a King Seiko 44-999. Something about those…

MWC makes good stuff. I have one of their tritium models. It's solid.

You're probably right, maybe we've been spoiled by Casio IP and DLC coatings for too long but right now my only advice for Spyderco would be to make their black finish much more durable and make a bare steel hardware set available to customers.
