Just a head up in case it matters to anyone, these are right hand side clip only.

Also, I highly recommend the lanyard tube from them as well.

now that we have a screw construction m2lw, can scales like this that do away with liners be used with a lw?

i know the screws are different and there is one more on the lw vs the g10 version. the clip is also different.

if they aren't compatible, i really hope they come out with a version to convert lw models in the future.

Wait, are the screwed M2LWs out? I knew they were coming, but I hadn't heard if they were available or not. I figured that the long production times means we still have some time before they hit the market.

I don’t have a lightweight to compare screw sizes or anything. They do sell a screw set. And the blade and washers should fit. But I’m not sure if the backspacer, or whatever you call the part that holds the ball cage, is the same size.

Anyways, I just checked and it does say they are NOT compatible with the LW version.

i think that's probably because the lw version didn't have screws. i doubt they've tried since the lw with screws is still new.

they're in the wild, but you'd have to check with your retailer to know what you're getting for sure because there are still pinned versions out there waiting to be purchased.

just compared my two and they are definitely different, so i doubt they would work.

the ability to readily take apart the lw should allow for future designs like this that are compatible though. i hope that happens.

Does the LW have washers? Or is it riding on the FRN?

It looks like it has bronze washers.

I did end up with a set of the smooth Manix 2 scales in titanium. They are nearly perfect and raise the level (IMO) of the Manix 2 to the next level. These delete the over-jimped steel scale liners and the feel in the hand is very much improved over stock. Simply an outstanding combination, Spyderco Manix 2 + Rockscale scales.

If you cannot tell, I recommend these! :smiling-halo

Edited for clarity.

Glad to help, and glad you like them. I agree, they a a huge improvement over the stock scales/jimping. The best is that it keeps the same amazing grip that makes the manix a pleasure to use.

It should be regardless of these scales! Totally different feel that than fCRAP material of the LW's...such a more substantial feeling, knowing you're carrying a knife and not some plastic frame with blade. These are right on par with that Inkosi that we both love for ergos!

Haha! I know it is is good. I EDC'd a M390 version for awhile. Knew someone that I wanted to have it more than I wanted it so let it go. I have not been tempted to go back until I saw those Rockscale designs that Ranger Ike likes to tempt us with.

I’ve bought titanium Rockscales (not for a spydie) and must say they were excellent. They were perfect quality and installed easily. Highly recommended if you’re considering them.
