when I bought my first Resilience it was a G10 model used for $40. Figured I'd check it out then maybe use it as a glove box knife.

I liked it, but it didn't really wow me.

FRN versions came out and I ordered a blacked out CE. Really liked it. The G10 version admittedly felt a lot better, but I loved the blacked out look and lighter weight. I also haven't been able to rust the blacked out version, while I can't say the same for the satin finish g10 model.

Since doing a scale swap and making a blacked out G10 CE Resilience, it's become my favorite knife to carry.

Not sure why it took a scale swap to really make things click, but I've fallen in love with this design. The large neutral handle, lack of a choil and tall full flat grind all work great for me.

Only question is should I make the next scale swap Resilience PE or CE?

IMHO the Resilience gets overlooked because there's nothing flashy about it. Just a solid functional utilitarian 4.2" edge to handle blade. Dunno how well S35VN will hold up to your sweat, but I like mine a lot. A bit more corrosion resistant than S30V if I'm not mistaken. Pretty solid GP knife in my book. PE. The Spydie hole is even polished. :winking-tongue

I'm happiest with Micarta and Tool Steel.

Top four in rotation: K390 + GCM PM2, ZCarta Shaman, Crucarta PM2, K390 + GCM Straight Spine Stretch.

Another knife throwing session in the woods.
(Pretty good or just very lucky grouping on that plastic bottle for my standard. This was from a distance of about 8 meters/about 26 feet).

I rarely throw my Spydies, but this time I did: The Endura actually throws quite well, and the wood of that rotten stump was so soft that I was not worried about doing damage to the knife (and I threw it from just about 4 meters and deliberately not on the bottle).

Top three going by pocket-time (update March 24):
- EDC: Endura thin red line ffg combo edge (VG10); Wayne Goddard PE (4V), Endela SE (VG10)
-Mountains/outdoors: Pac.Salt 1 SE (H1), Salt 2 SE (LC200N), and also Wayne Goddard PE (4V)

Sinse I got this I have loved everything about it. I love all my Spydercos. But this one fits hand so nice. And it's sexy. And everything people say they don't like about it, for example how thick it is, I like lol. Don't let others opinions weigh too heavily on what you like.
-take care.

If we spent as much time trying as we do doubting, we might have already accomplished it.

Got a day off so I’ll probably “carry” all of these at some point today, after I do some clip swapping. I hadn’t bought a new Spydie in months and then…
