I would definitely be interested in a 52100 Endura, but I'd want a different handle. I don't really like the contrast of patina'd carbon steel and FRN, which is cheap looking in appearance (can FRN just be textured like g10?)

Man, everytime this comes up, I really hope DLT is watching. A DLT Cruwear with the OD Green like they did with the Delica would be a hit.

We still haven’t gotten a Cruwear Endura (or endela or stretch). That’s what I want to see.

Having owned both steels, I don’t understand why someone would want 52100 over Cruwear.

I agree. 52100 is cool and all, but thinking logically for my uses and most folders, it doesn't seem like one would need that much toughness. Then the trade off of edge retention being something like 8cr, granted very easy to sharpen, just doesn't seem like a great trade off when something like Cruwear is available. Too much maintenance for my liking.

I would love to see anything in 52100. As far as other steels go, last time i was reading in the forum was that the 14C28N is questionable. I believe there was an negotiations with Sandvik that ended up nowhere. Correct me if i'm wrong. And SRS-15 is proprietary steel and Sal tried for a mule with SRS-15 but got a red light from the maker and we ended up with SRS-13 mule.

I like Delica best than Endura, more specifically Delica Wharncliffe and Endura sheepsfoot (think that is what you call it, Grayman edition, as the blade length, shape, and profile match my uses well). Getting back to the original post, I would certainly give one of these in 52100 a try if it became available but something I'm not going to ask for. But, Spyderco did do it in a PM2 not too long ago so why not?

I've been lightly using a fixed blade in PSF 27 and think it is pretty nice and it got me thinking how cool it would be to have a Delica/Endura in this steel ... so that would be my top of the list request.

OK, I'll jump off here and let all you addicts chime in on PSF 27... :tonque-out

Thanks for clarifying. I wasn't sure about the two steels, but I remember reading about them some time ago. Honestly, I was too lazy to look it up.
