Wow przemekspce, that is a very cool photo!
For the decades I spent making trips to the various "gulf" area countries, I saw a lot of those.
Back here in the states, I am a bit more accustomed to, or familiar with, a different but similar device :-)
Definitely a great photo you took!

Trying (but mostly failing) to keep a little of my lawn alive during this very dry year. Not a fan of yard maintenance, but I'd prefer the grass to stay alive and keep weeds from taking over. At least I'm not having to mow very often this summer.
Because desolate places allow us to breathe. And most people don't even know they're out of breath.

Curious, but skeptical of the Wharncliffe straight edge
and unwilling to risk dropping a bundle on a Yojimbo 2,
(your definition of a bundle may be different than my own)
I decided to put a toe in the Wharncliffe pool as it were
and spring for a more affordable Byrd Robin 2.
"Holy sharp edge, Batman." said the Robin.
Maybe it's just me, but this little thing can cut.
Now I hear the siren call, Yojimbo.
The only fly in the ointment so to speak
was that there was not the satisfying and reassuring
Spyderco click upon opening.
More alarmingly, it could be forced to close!
Close examination with a bright light
and a magnifying glass
revealed a foreign object in the lock.
A Q-tip cut in half at an angle
chiseled out the offending mass.
A tiny lint ball had defeated the lock.
The click and lockup are now restored.

I nearly bought one Friday. Instead, I left with the decidedly larger SE Wharnie Harrier 2. Glad you sorted yours out.Mad Mac wrote: ↑Sun Jul 03, 2022 9:26 amCurious, but skeptical of the Wharncliffe straight edge

Nice photo & nice knife too. The frame lock thing stops me from getting one but I’ve always liked this model. It looks like it would excel in a lot of different tasks especially on the cutting board.

Usually use the Matriarch for lawn care, decided to give the Mule a whirl today instead. Performed nicely, but no competition for the SE Matriarch!

Absolutely one of my favorite designs! I'm starting to think that all I really need is the Chief, SE UKPK Salt & K390 Ladybug...
So it goes.
Re: What Spyderco is in your pocket today??
Thanks! The PPT is heavy since the liners are stainless steel instead of Ti.BLUETYPEII wrote: ↑Sun Jul 03, 2022 10:25 amNice photo & nice knife too. I can't comment on how it performs on a cutting board as I almost never use folders for food prep. It does fit my hand well with no hotspots, and I like it as a general purpose knife.
