Which spyderco is in the mail?

Finally broke down and ordered one of the last sprint runs of the Baby Jess Horn. Early reports of quality issues seem to have slowed sales so I'm curious to see if there is more smoke than flame to those rumors.

Let us know how it is. I avoided it for the same reason, but mine is great. It feels somewhat more like a traditional and slim. Quite nice with a thin grind. My handful of Moki built knives are great.

Fit and finish, along with the action are very good. However, there is a noticeable lock rock when locked open. Not enough to send it back since they would not replace it and also not unsafe. It just not up to the usual tight lockup I have come to expect from Spyderco. If you are on the fence, I would still recommend getting one. The Jess Horn is an excellent design for actual use.

The size fooled me a bit as I was expecting something just slightly larger. This one is about the size of a medium Stockman traditional knife. Perfectly usable and good for bottom of pocket carry.

Glad you like it, bummer about the lock rock. My Baby Horn has a little wiggle too. It is one of a handful of Spydies that i prefer without the clip. Found a Spyderco Des Horn still in stock at the only cutlery carrying Spydercos in my department (maybe county is a better word for this?). They sell the S30V PM2 at 230€, and the Des Horn at the same price. I knew what to pick up .

I'm curious to know what you'll think of it after some carry and use ! It's a model that I've been interested in for a while now. I really like Spyderco's XHP, but only have it on 2 knives.

I pulled the trigger on the discontinued Spyderco Opus. A super-charged G10 Endura with open back construction ticks all the boxes for me, but the ergos of the handle will remain a huge question mark until I get it in-hand. It’ll either fit like a glove or be super uncomfortable. We shall see!

I ordered a pink dlc coated dragonfly today. I am going to surprise my Girlfriend with it.
She has only bin zo supportive and helpfull and patient the lasr few months she deserves something special. And since she missed out on a pink native 5 on a knifeshow and i could not find one at the moment i was glad to see the dragonfly was available since i know she loves that one to. Hope it gets here tomorrow like the website says because i can not wait to give it to here.
