Back on TOPIC!

Sal just asked for input on the Superhawk. Mentioned a Wharnie too
I’m definitely all in for a Super Wharnie on the same format as the Superhawk and Superleaf. It really seems it would be an easy conversion . MG2
Superwharn would be iconic
Superwharn would be good if the finger choil was deleted to max out the edge.
This was actually my main complaint about the Superleaf. A maximized, truly “super,” blade with a choil delete would be more desirable.

Hi RandomCarry,

It's in-the-works, I heard this year. It's a really great design, he's a brilliant designer. This is an EDC user. I think you'll like it. Probably the best hard use EDC Slipit ever.

New to me: FRN version AND light version (thought the light version would BE the FRN version...)
Top three going by pocket-time (update March 24):
- EDC: Endura thin red line ffg combo edge (VG10); Wayne Goddard PE (4V), Endela SE (VG10)
-Mountains/outdoors: Pac.Salt 1 SE (H1), Salt 2 SE (LC200N), and also Wayne Goddard PE (4V)

I'm pretty psyched to see the "racing" version!
So it goes.

Me too! I've always thought the Shaman was a homerun after first getting my hands on one. For my cutting tasks, that thick blade has never been an issue. Very interested in this one, as I hope it maintains the hand filling, but comfortably contoured handles as well.

I will wait for FRN, prefer it to other materials.

The choiless Shaman sounds very intriguing. Wondering if the scales will be flat on that one. Currently enjoying the brand new micarta S90V Shaman, it's my 3rd and only Shaman and this one is a keeper; and has totally renewed my interest in the model.

Oh ho! I am surprised they are actually making this a mule. When I heard about elastic ceramic I thought surely this was not something we were going to see. I wrote off ceramic as something I had no interest in for practical blades years ago, now my interest is slightly renewed.

Hi Meneldor,

Welcome to our forum.

ATS-55 was made exclusively for Spyderco by Hitachi.

I didn’t know this either. And I never had an ats-anything Spyderco. G2, AUS8, then CPM-M4!

FYI, I'm working on a 4.0" caly 3.5, which I believe will be more refined than the C54.

We're still refining the heat treat on MagnaCut. It's sensitive to different heat treatment. We'd like to get it down before exporting the steel. Eventually, assuming the market likes it, we'll move the steel all over.

I have a hand made Prototype of a Caribbean Hawkbill being made for me by Roque.

On a "Handle forward" Hawkbill, I'd like to wait until I see reaction on the "Handle forward" Leaf Jumper.

English isn't my first language. By "all over" does Sal meant Magnacut for most of the current models ?

Since it was in the context of exporting steel, I think "all over" means shipping the steel factories all across the world, not necessarily that all models will get a Magnacut variant.
