Yep, they called off the guard and opened up the state again. We are now allowed to leave our homes. However, they were calling for more snow Friday, but I think that is changing. I don't know how you guys put up with this much stress.

Wharnie Wednesday - Canis

Great photos !

(No secret that I generally love pics with lots of nature and then a knife just for spicing it up further ;) )
Top three going by pocket-time (update March 24):

Thanks!

Though actually this was just a quick shot without even really looking what I pictured (light in sun and snow too bright anyway to see enough on the cell phone screen)

Generally skitouring would offer the opportunity for great and well arranged shadow pics - due to the untouched, bright white and smooth snow cover. I normally just don´t make many pics when skitouring, too much hazzle (hands in gloves and the skipole loops, often very cold, and the ascent part of skitouring is really about getting in a steady, almost "meditative" stride which one does not want to interrupt.
And the downhill, powder skiing part - much too much fun and sometimes adrenaline for wanting to actually stop and take a pic... ;)

...

But: The Salt happens to be with me today again :smlling-eyes

our one day of snow already came and went, lol. made me miss being up north. the woods are so peaceful after a fresh snow. miss walking around in the woods near my house during a heavy snowfall. we didnt have the gorgeous mountains you do though, it was pretty flat where I was.
