I selected to have it shipped when I bought too. Just called to see if I could drop by the Athens store this evening and pick it up, but it sounds like they are printing labels and getting them ready to ship right now. Oh well, shouldn't take too long to arrive I guess.

Athens is a bit far for me to just go and pick up a knife unless I'm in the area already. Been meaning to stop by there one day when I'm coming home from work and going by, but I never do because I just want to get home! I did stop by Larry's in Madison yesterday though...

I can still get the orange Rex45 here in Germany new from shop. This forum jumps in circles around the Chief, but apparently it is not quite such a hot cake as we may make it look.

This drop was done really well IMO. Checkout was very easy. I added it to my cart and had an order confirmation within two minutes of it going live. Just received a notification that my shipping label was created.

I’m not too surprised these are still around but where it was a small run, it was difficult to gauge. Chief sprints and exclusives have always seemed to last a bit longer than other models though.

Hmm. Didn't expect these to still be around when I got home from work. Was going to pick one up but, I'm in Ontario until next month. International shipping is steep and I've heard horror stories about Canadian customs snagging knives.

Reluctant pass. Anyone on the fence, get this knife. The chief is an outstanding knife and this looks to be a great version.
