Im hoping to see the native chief lightweight.Evil D wrote: I was just daydreaming about a full SE Native Chief.
First you get the lightweight,
Then you get the Salt,
Then you get the serrated edge.

Re: Next Reveal Anticipation
This would be really nice, regardless if linerlock, CBBL or backlock! (Though as has been said before latter would probably not really fit into the handle together with the tall blade).kobold wrote: ↑Sat Sep 11, 2021 11:26 amIppon wrote: ↑Sat Sep 11, 2021 11:01 amHigh hollow grind on the shaman might lighten up the blade, leaving room to lighten the handle more without sacrificing balance? That knife would be quite the performer, while being easy to carry as well.
Not sure if I would be into a choil-less shaman. I did not always like the shaman, but the ergos, especially with the choil, are really what made me like it.
Yes the backspacer would be useless dead weight in this case. But I would still only buy a Shaman with something other than a comp. lock.
Top three going by pocket-time (update March 24):
- EDC: Endura thin red line ffg combo edge (VG10); Wayne Goddard PE (4V), Endela SE (VG10)
-Mountains/outdoors: Pac.Salt 1 SE (H1), Salt 2 SE (LC200N), and also Wayne Goddard PE (4V)

CBBL best, liner lock second best.

Re: Next Reveal Anticipation
hot take: if you want a lighter weight shaman that is a better design and with a different lock, you want a manix.
keep your knife sharp and your focus sharper.

I check daily for the reveal like a kid waiting for Christmas…
Re: Next Reveal Anticipation
Perhaps, and certainly concerning the lock.
But the Shaman offers more cutting edge and the rounded scales (curious if they will remain rounded in the light FRN Shaman too). Plus no thumb ramp, which can be a pro or con, depending on personal preference, but I think I like that.

Re: Next Reveal Anticipation
The recent reveals have been on Tuesday/Wednesday... so maybe next week, maybe next month?
Hoping the reveal didn't get delayed due to supply chain issues.
