What do you do with those blade tips?
You must have enough to make a mean Macuahuitl! :D

Yeah man,I gotta agree- the Shaman is such a great design, and it is a crime to mess w/ her (guilty)!
Thanks man, I gotta go that route, those look epic! Here's a pic of the 'chop graveyard':Cambertree wrote: ↑Wed Jun 03, 2020 11:05 amWhat do you do with those blade tips?

Ha ha, very cool! There’s either the makings for that, or a modern art sculpture in there somewhere! :D
Yeah, while I can’t say I’d want to get hit with any edged weapon, that must be the one I’d least want to get hit with! :DGiftedMisfit wrote: Thing sounds like a real vicious CQ weapon.
I must agree, and usually like the chops.

This was honestly the reaction that I thought this chop and the Rock Lobster would get, so thanks for restoring my faith in the universe LC!!!
Nice work! Do you have a photo to share of it closed? And maybe one where the liners exit the butt end? I can kinda see that obliquely on the first shot, but curious how it looks from the back.

When i first saw the title of this post, and having a strong affection for the Shaman, I thought i would be coming here to bemoan the work.Liquid Cobra wrote: ↑Wed Jun 03, 2020 9:41 pm[img] https://www.meme-arsenal.com/memes/437a ... d7c0c1.jpg
I generally like the finger guard nub on the forward choil of the Shaman (and had been slightly irked by people getting so cranky about the interference in the lock well and grinding it off theirs. Abominiation! :eek:Wartstein wrote: ↑Thu Jun 04, 2020 2:37 amThis is really cool! :)
Really looks like it was designed like this from scratch. I also like that you grinded away that protruding "knob" at the end of the finger choil. While I like that feature on the actual Shaman, your modded knife looks better and more harmonic without it (and shaped like this there is nothing that could come in the way when cutting on a cutting board)
Great option for when one wants to / has to /needs to carry a small knife imho.
Thanks so much Wartstein, much appreciated man!
I cut w/ a dremel. Eventually upgrading to a bandsaw.Enactive wrote: ↑Sat Jun 06, 2020 11:47 amNice work! Do you have a photo to share of it closed? And maybe one where the liners exit the butt end? I can kinda see that obliquely on the first shot, but curious how it looks from the back.
Incidentally, been meaning to ask what you use to make your initial cuts before grinding into shape?

Thanks, man. That was quick. I was thinking band saw, hope you can get one soon. looks great from all the vantage points.DigDug72 wrote: ↑Sat Jun 06, 2020 12:01 pmThanks so much Wartstein, much appreciated man!I cut w/ a dremel.
