Hat's off to you Larrin. I'm carrying a Manix with Magnacut. Very sharp. Took a beautiful edge. Also doing very well in our corrosion test tank, after 10 days. Gonna be fun.

i know the manix is a little less popular than some other models (even though there is quite a bit of groaning about those models of late), but i'm excited to see there is at least one magnacut manix in existence. here's to a lot more and one in my pocket!
feel free to join me in excitement and voice your support for a magnacut manix.

My dream configuration for a salt Manix 2 would be a G10 Manix in Magnacut, with rustproof liners, a stainless spring and a titan cage (even if the cage has to be aftermarket).
I know, this is very unlikely to ever happen, but like I said, it is the dream configuration.
My dream version would be lightweight salt version with back lock and screwed construction. Just glad the Manix is seeing some MagnaLove. If G10, I hope they stick with the heavily skelonitized liners like the M390 Earth Brown Version.

As long as it's G10 and not some pastel colored handle, I'm in to give it a try.
Yes ! Screw construction would be cool if released at same time ! Let’s see some dark warm color scales in G10 .MG2

i want screw construction on the manix lw, but it matters a lot less to me on a steel that is supposed to be this corrosion resistant. still, it might open up some fun customization possibilities.
for g10, i don't care what color they choose. it's going to be getting micarta scales regardless.

The groaning I've seen concerns the radius on the edges of the scales. I think it's a very popular model!
the groaning i was referring to was the groaning surrounding the more popular models like the pm2 getting all the exclusives and everyone being sick of so many variations. i wasn't referring to groaning about the manix.
Yes, I swear I heard someone say MagnaCut Manix2, nudge nudge wink wink.
And, I’m certain they said G10, nudge nudge wink wink, which is a good thing, because there’s something about the Manix2’s FRN mold that doesn’t work for me.

Ah, right you are. I misread your original post.

Been hoping for a Manix2 LW Salt for years, Magnacut would make it even more exiting!
Same, a Salt LW Manix makes so much sense that I can only assume it hasn't been done because of material limitations. Maybe the type of steel used for springs doesn't hold up in saline environments?

i would absolutely purchase a magnacut manix with frcp/frn and a backlock as long as it had a standard manix blade shape and thickness. basically, exactly like a native salt, but a manix.
i still would prefer a g10 manix over anything else though, even if it wasn't considered a salt.
