15V & AEB-L Mules On The Way

#1

Post by Bolster »

Cool! I've been wanting to add an extreme-tough steel to the Mule stable, and here comes AEB-L. We have a sort of polar-opposites pair here!

I was surprised to see 15v included in a mule, but really looking forward to this one.

Definitely excited to see the 15v. $75 is one **** of a deal for some BBB 15v.

I have an Aeb-l Urban so unless they tweak the HT I'll have to pass on that one.

It's made in Italy, European and Japanese spydies almost always cost more than US/Taiwanese counterparts, so my money is on that being why.

I thought BBB helped with the heat treat on the AEB-L, hence the Mule?

Oh yeah, didn't check where the AEB-L Mule would be produced, thanks ^^

anyway, as long as the mules are about 120€ shipped and VAT paid for me, i'll stay in the Team !

Yes there was a post by I believe both Shawn and Sal about that. I don't know if that HT protocol will make it to the mule, very good question.

According to:

viewtopic.php?f=15&t=89168

...there were 5 mules released in 2021 and 3 in 2022 (the M398 release isn't on the official past-issues list yet), rather roughly spaced out into quarters of a year. We are still due the T15 mule (we thought it would be a 2022 release, should be coming soon) so it would not surprise me to see one of the newly announced 15V or AEB-L Mules by late spring or summer. Just a guess.

M398 is available now, if interested.

AEB-L seems to be distinct from some of the other recent Mules that I have purchased. And interesting to see a made in Italy. Super excited to see this one come out. Thanks for making, Spyderco! :bug-red-white

Do we know when they'll release? There are already the other two that are "Coming Soon". Will these all be spaced out, or will we have 4 or 5 types of mules available at one time?

I am excited about both!!!! AEB-L is way undervalued! excited to have such a tough steel. I will get two! The 15V mule will be popular! I will get two of this as well if I can snap them up in time. Both will be worthy of a custom job on handles

Only the last one has been available for more than a day or 2. Prior they have been a sold
out in a few hours or a day at the most.

But Spyderco has been making a lot more than before to get these into the hands of people that want them nowadays.

Can’t see these 2 (especially 15V) being around for long.

The SPY27 will always be available as it is going to be a constant mule.

These 2 will be released in several months with the Rex T15 to be released soon I would say.
