Cerakoted Rex 76 Mule
Cerakoted Rex 76 Mule
I mentioned this in the M398 announcement but I haven't had time to test Rex76.. in a nutshell I had all the time in the world after getting caught in a house fire last September and have finally become healthy enough to get back to work full time(career landscaper) while also taking care of properties/jobs on the side. Did find time to find someone to cerakote one of my Mules(obviously) and put the thin G10 Halpern scales on it. Grey and black is my thing so I'm really happy with how it came out. The guy did sharpen it (assume it made it easier to cerakote then sharpen afterwards) so I'll most likely be sharpening that to a 17-18° + strop progression before using it.

Wow that looks great!
Re: Cerakoted Rex 76 Mule
Now that's cool! I don't think I've seen a cerakoted mule before.

Sweet! I've wanted a coated mule for some time, mind sharing your source?

While the Mule looks awesome, I’m more concerned that you said you were caught in a house fire. I hope you continue to heal and get back to 100% soon!tcarltonw wrote: ↑Thu Nov 10, 2022 4:50 am

Hi Tcarltonw,
I'm with Jim. Glad to hear you're recovering. Hope you are "better than new" soon.
Oh Yeah, the coatings looks great too,

That looks great. I like that the guy was able to keep the spydie logo too.

Re: Cerakoted Rex 76 Mule
Thank you Sal, and everyone for your concern and kind words. All is good and all things considered I'm very blessed/lucky(however you want to look at it.)
The guy who did the Cerakote job I found through blade forums. He's out of South Carolina and the turn around was pretty quick. I want to say FB is probably the easiest way to get a hold of himHis instagram is: Cerakoterefinishingart
And FB: Cerakoting Brandon
P.S. Sal, if it's possible I'll unregister the mule.

Hi Tcarltonw,
What do you mean by "unregister the Mule"?

Maybe he thinks he voided the warranty by having it coated.
Re: Cerakoted Rex 76 Mule
WOW! That looks great! Looks like it came from the factory coated.

Your combination at Cerakote, grey scales, and black hardware looks fantastic! Glad you’re doing better!

Their warranty won't cover your modification but you're still covered on the knife itself. No need to unregister.
