I just ordered one. I've been still beating on my CPM SPY27 that is performing well. Looking forward to another steel type to test out.

Bought 2, one is quite sharp, the other is very dull, a bit disappointed, I tried to sharpen the dull one (diamond stone 1k grid and stropping), but find it hard to get to very sharp, the Rex 76 is way better in terms of sharpness

I’ve been using mine in the kitchen, from smaller prep work to eating with, it’s been great. I think you’ll like it. I can’t believe they lasted as long as they have. Mine has stayed pretty sharp too. I also think these would make a great camping knife.

ns66: my 2nd M398 mule just arrived, it is as razor sharp as the 1st.
Both fly through paper with ease.
1st was a terrific surprise Christmas gift from my son.

Ups just dropped it off and I had to check it out. Surprisingly it's ground thinner than my other mules. It's. 0.016-0.017" BTE and 0.099" at the spine above the hole. You can clearly see on the plunge how much deeper they went with the grind. My other Mules are 0.112-0.117" at the spine above the hole and most are thicker BTE. Definitely looking forward to testing this thing out.

Mmmh, this info alone makes me wanna test it when i'll order the T15... Now I'm interested ! just for the thinner grind
:respect In the collection :respect : Lots of different steels, in lots of different (and same) Spydercos.

Not sure if they're all like that but I'm happy mine is.

Both my M398 mule spines were close at 0.101" and 0.104" at the red arrows in the pic.
Both slice veggies like going through butter ;)
