Picked mine up at 12:30PM MST, not sure how many were left. Was glad to be able to get in on it later, was I had a funeral to attend and didn't want to order during the service.

I don't understand why I should buy an M398 mule direct from Spyderco for $80, when I can buy the exact same mule off eBay right now from a guy in Wisconsin for a mere $200 plus shipping.

The extra $120 +tax is for the stringent verification and vetting process that every knife goes through in his inventory. You can rest assured that you're getting the real deal! All knives are in-hand at time of listing; no funnybusiness!

Probably so! We should calculate his potential profit: Looks like Attila stands to make over $150,000 flipping his M398s on eBay! Although I half expect Attila to just hoard them for himself...

Was driving back from the bush all day and just got home. I am glad Sal and the crew made so many of these ones as I was still able to get my 2 about 12 hours after release. Im looking forward to testing the purported high edge retention of M398.
Every day in my pockets, Wallet, Keys, Phone, Light, and Knife.

I work nights. I got up early and bought two when they dropped. It's midnight and they're still on sale. I could have slept in dammit.
I'm new to Mules, these will be my second go round with them.

I am very happy, because finally I have the chance to get one.
I have only to wait now, it arrives.

It will be my mule as backup/allrounder hunting knife!

P.s. I believe that one on eBay are anticipate listings in the waiting of sold out or for overseas people.

"We have 965 Mule Team M398(s) in our inventory. You may only order 965."

Looks like there will be plenty for the crowd at seconds sale to pick up.

Could tell the interest was low due to the amount of chat in this forum :winking-tongue

Looks like 1500-2000 were made!

Will know when TazKristi updates the list

If funds would have been better, I would have got more than my 2. SWMBO is still not happy about the Fluted cf Native purchase so I have to be strategic going forward. :winking-tongue
T15 Mule and BBB 15v have to be procured, so it's best behavior for a few months.

It's rough, isn't it. What has worked for me is to occasionally sell a desirable knife and then announce the amount of profit to SWMBO. So she views the knives (slightly) as investments. The obvious next step would be to hand over the money made to SWMBO, but I've not been able to make myself do that yet--always gets "reinvested."

As close to the dog house as possible, without actually being IN the dog house.

Truly hope so, I'm more intrigued with the T15. Not that this one isn't going to be fun to compare with the M390, S110v or 90v I have in folders. As many requests I've seen of fixed blades with premium stainless steels, I'm surprised M398 isn't sold out yet.
