I got 2! I'm probably going to build one out for myself and sell the other. I'm a knife maker who makes my own Mexican blanket micarta and resin castings with stabilized burl wood and honeycomb. If anyone is nterested let me know!

I believe we made just under 1,000.

sal
500 a day!
not bad 🫡
My guess is that with the 2 per limit and then the limit removed, there was probably around 500 orders.

My two arrived today at lunch time. First impression: they look like Mules 😉.

Just got mine! Grabbed 2x Mules and 2x Scales kits. Going to give one to my brother in-law who is a big spyderco fan, but I don't think he's ever heard of Mules before.

Do you guys live close to CO or something how are you getting them so fast? My has an estimated delivery of Tuesday. Did your orders ship the first day? Mine didn't ship till today and I put my order in the first 15mins. I have no problem waiting just curious.

Mine arrived this morning. The edge grinds look perfect/even on both sides to my old eyes, and it is super sharp. I think its the sharpest Spyderco I have received out of the box.

Also shipping was pretty fast to SW Florida. Ordered on drop day at 11:05 EST and got confo # 5 minutes later. Shipped notice came 2 1/2 hours later and arrived in 3 days via UPS.

I'm 400 miles from Golden, next state over (Kansas). Of course, it's 700 miles by UPS or 800 to 2000 by USPS depending on how drunk they are. I got my ship notice Wednesday.

Got mine today. Super sharp factory edge. Even sharper after a few passes on the strop. Image

Got mine at 12:05PM (CT) - luckily I remembered that a drop was happening and popped over to see it was live.

I have similar plans to play with: 1. sharpening methods and 2. asymmetric bevels.

I expect Rex76 to be a decent shop knife: 15.5-17.5° bps, with a semi-toothy edge (20-15 micron), light stropping.

While L. Thomas's test don't show allot of promise for R76 I think it's high hardness may have some applications in the shop.
Asymmetrical bevels huh? What is your thinking behind your experiments with that, I'm curious.
Asymmetric bevels aren't uncommon in chefs knives, as the different angles affect cut materials leaving the blade (poorly worded).

My current testing is in purposeful asymmetry and using guided (hapstone) sharpening system. Lots of asymmetric bevels in hand sharpening but to random.

Why. Because I like sharpening (I'm weird) and to see how well the blade leaves the cut media. My other hobbies in wood carving and turning with steel gouges/chisels/knives and carbide cutters got me thinking about this topic. There are different edge profiles that have a true single bevel vs a slight counter bevel.
