No science, all fun. Magnacut Mule in Halpern scales versus Para 3 Spy 27. I suspect the geometry had more stake in this one than the steel.
The Magnacut Mule went longer and produced more curles.
The Spy 27 Para 3 was producing thinner and curlier curls.
Using the choil on the Para 3 felt like more control in fine work than the Mule. I suspect the Para 3 has a more acute edge and is thinner behind the edge. I do not have the gear to assess this. But, I do have a couple more tubs of shavings to make tinder kits with.

Yeah, I think the choil helps with the ability to feather the blade angle and keep spiraling long curly curls.
I stropped both today. The Magnacut got sharper faster.
