Mule Team Drop?

#1

Post by MIDWESTKNIFETRADER »

Hi, I have a new interest in the Mule Team blades. I have been saving some burl maple for the right project.
How often does Spyderco release the Mule Team blades?
Thank you

Mules have been dropping roughly once a quarter, but there is no set schedule. The best thing to do is check this forum for the announcements, which generally give you enough notice to plan for the drop. New mule releases are announced in posts pinned to the top of this forum (among other places).

I got lucky today and found a NIB S45VN MT at the SFO. The guy in front of me seemed interested but put it back.

Hey Midwestknifetrader!

Are you looking to try out some specific steal? Or just interested in a blank mule in general? There's a private sub Reddit dedicated to Spyderco swaps and sales where you may have luck finding a previously released Mule at a fair price.

The steel does not matter to me. From what I can tell very good steel is in all models.

I'm definitely planning on buying a mule team now. I ordered a different product and was "accidentally" sent a mule team knife. Sent it back and got the right product, but I'm convinced that it was a plot to entice me to buy one!

I'm new to the knife world and just getting into quality metals and their performance.

Honestly best way to know is to check the forum periodically. They usually put up a post on top saying there's a drop coming 2 or 3 weeks prior.
It has greatly helped me for the last two drops !
:respect In the collection :respect : Lots of different steels, in lots of different (and same) Spydercos.
