Printing scales for new mule....

#1

Post by Burningcort »

So got lucky this morning after almost an hour of trying to get my first mule and a sheath.

Got these files from thingiverse.

I think a member here was the creator. (hidethecookies on thingiverse)

Not sure of his user name here.

I like Orange so clear orange it is. I will post more pictures when they are done.
the pictures are about 1 hour apart

those look great. how do they feel? they seem like they would feel a little slick, but i see there's texture on them.

Very nice. The orange looks great. They will definitely show up when you set it down somewhere.

I've printed a bunch of those myself, both fdm and resin. The resin comes out at a much higher resolution of course but the filament ones have a gripper texture.

Looks good! I'm HideTheCookies(its a play on HTC from my Android development days) on Thingiverse. Like Fullscaler mentioned they look way better with resin.

If anyone has advice on how to make the model more FDM friendly it would be greatly appreciated.

My brother both have a FDM 3D printer and Resin 3D printer, I might ask him a favor...

Well thanks for making the files public. Makes 3d printing pain free and fun when the STL is good.
